Just purchased this knife and am pleased so far.
Good points;
*full tang construction
*decent steel (AUS6, Japanese made steel)
*leather handle
*metal butt (good for hammering if needed)
*when worn on your belt, you do NOT look like Rambo
*light weight, good for hiking, camping....
*lifetime (limited) warranty to original seller

The handle is a bit small, I have a fairly large hand and my hand just about covers the handle, from the guard to the butt.
The blade is 4" long so if you are looking for a large knife, this isn't it. If you are looking for a well made knife that is not to big or to small, this IS it.
Note, the leather handle appeared to be a bit dried out, so I treated it with some leather conditioner and it looks and feels great.
The leather sheath is well made with riveted (think Levi jeans) construction.
For the price, you can't go wrong this with the 1232.

Pros:
It's a beautiful knife, I really dig the classic style
Very sharp out of the box (sharp enough to shave with)
Comfortable in the hand and on the hip
Nice leather sheath
AUS6 steel sharpens up to a very sharp edge and is easy to do so
Solid construction (baton tested through 3'' logs)

Cons:
AUS6 steel, does not have amazing edge retention, though, it's still pretty good (not a real big problem for me, literally five seconds on a stone will bring the razor edge back)

Overall:
Great sharp knife. It'll blow away any crap box-store 420 steel knife for the same price.

This is a great knife at a great price. Love the handle, love the sheath, love the blade. If the ad does not specify, this knife is made in Japan.

The Ka-Bar knife I purchased is one of the best I have ever had. I carry my Ka-Bar on my belt every day. It has become my favorite tool. Its versatility is endless. The price is was high. But its ability to hold an edge and the fact that it is easy to keep a fine edge are tremendous.

Great little knife. Looks good on the belt, not to big to carry, great edge. Looks awsome, and feels good in your hand. sheath looks good, well made.

I thought this knife would be bigger, but it's perfect once you start to actually use it. It is a really attractive looking knife with a sharp blade and a good grip. The size is perfect for chores that require detail. It is also very durable. My full size marine corps Ka-Bar is good for the more forceful--smash,pry,demolish--jobs and this one does the detail work.

An excellent balance of a fishing & hunting knife big enough for most uses, without the crazy size of 'rambo' style mega-knives. The quality of the handle and steel is really impressive. Deep blade shape is broad enough for easy skinning, and also thick enough to cut in between joints. The The blade finish is very bright polished, I'd have preferred satin or parkerized black. Very happy overall.

If Ka-Bar made a version halfway between this and the standard Marine knife, I'd get that too, but I'm very pleased with this. It's my standard hip knife for fishing and hunting. It's not heavy enough for bushcraft, but that's OK. Splendid quality.

Nice knife it came very sharp, a little small but handy has nice leather handle wish it was made in the USA..

Way smaller than I thought it would be. Blade is SUPER SHINY. Kind of gives it a cheap look.
