Fits right in the sheath.

It does look and feel a bit cheap (though it is extremely low profile, unlike the ESEE Izula, and especially unlike the Becker Necker and the BRKT Bravo Necker).

This is a nice little American made knife...solid craftsmanship, light weight, sharp blade. It is kind of small obviously, but is nice for cleaning chile peppers, or for use as a "carryable" paring knife, or as a back up blade for hiking or camping trips. Small enough to take up virtually no room and light enough to forget it's there.
The sheath is a drawback, as mine doesn't quite fit snugly enough, and slides around ever so slightly, just enough to be mildly annoying if you have it in your pocket. No big deal though, especially if you have it in a pack or in a drawer or wherever. The blade itself is a quality little tool, and even though it has limited actual uses, I am still glad to have this one in my "arsenal of blades".

This knife was my first small fixed blade knife, and as such, my first EDC. I never liked to carry folders, as they had a tendency to slip from my pocket. The folders with a pocket clip were better, but seemed unnecessarily large and bulky. This, when attached to a keychain, was always handy. I have since replaced it with an ESEE Izula (also a GREAT keychain knife).
The Remora seems to get less respect than it deserves. For some reason people always compare it to the Becker Necker or the Izula or XYZ neck knife. Compared to these, the Remora seems a bit smallish. I argue that its diminutive size is its best trait. Give a non-knife person a Becker Necker, and watch as the Becker Necker collects lint in the back of a sock drawer. Give the same person a Remora, along with the keychain recommendation, and watch as the non-knife person discovers the utility of having a knife available at all times.
Besides, compared with a Victorinox Recruit, for example, the blade is pretty burly. Compared with the best selling knife of all time, the Victorinox Classic, the Remora starts to resemble a crowbar.
There are faults, however. The sheath is much maligned. It does look and feel a bit cheap (though it is extremely low profile, unlike the ESEE Izula, and especially unlike the Becker Necker and the BRKT Bravo Necker). The steel is 440A, which usually means relatively poor edge-holding abilities, though I have not noticed any difference in this regard between the Remora and my 1095 Izula. My biggest complaint is the design oh the handle. . . it's fine for occasional use, but not very comfortable beyond that.

Summary: This knife is best compared with folding pocket knives rather than with larger fixed blades, and it works extremely well when attached to a keychain and used within reason.

I bought this as a companion to my BK7. It was a little smaller than I expected but it does fit nicely in the outer sheath of the BK7 as it's supposed to. It came with a good edge on it and for a little guy has a pretty thick, sturdy blade. But then, it is a Becker. I think this will be perfect for small tasks around the yard or camp that you just wouldn't want to pull a big bowie out to do like cutting cord, fine feathering for tinder etc. I am an avid small game hunter and I also raise rabbits for meat and this will be perfect for skinning smaller animals. It would also perform well I believe, as a caping knife.

The only thing I didn't like was the "neck sheath" it came with but I'm reviewing the knife not the sheath and I don't intend on using it anyway. It will ride piggy back on the larger BK. I just also got the big, BK9 so I'll probably order another one of these to go with that knife. The only other thing I may do with this is paracord wrap the handle to give it a better grip. It meets it's intended use as a companion knife to the bigger BK's to do the small jobs that they would be too unwieldy to accomplish. It is what it is.

I have had this knife in its plastic sheath hanging on a heavy stainless steel necklace around my neck for about three years now. It comfortably hangs against my sometimes sweaty chest (no, I'm a guy) for about 16 hours every day. NO sign of rust yet. That makes it perfect so far. The only way that it could be improved is if it had a thin synthetic grip over the handle frame, but I'm not complaining about that omission. This knife is impressively sharp out of the box. The plastic sheath holds the knife securely, and it has never released without a firm tug from my hand. To me, it's the perfect secret knife for a prepper.

Great little companion for larger BK series. High quality little knife that came super sharp out of the package. Perfect for that plastic sleeve in the larger BK series knife sheaths it was intended for. Highly recommend if you have a BK-7 or other BK that came with the pocket for this that you invest in this additional little knife.

This knife is superb quality and can be used right out-of-the-box. It is amazingly sharp, so use caution if you're used to handling cheaper/lesser-quality knives. You can feel/see this is fashioned out of high-quality steel, but the design was done right-- the weight is generally low but it is well-balanced in your hand. The handle-design is above average for this style of knife: I have relatively large hands but it is easy to grasp securely.

Finally, I also purchased the BK9 knife at the same time. This Remora knife fits perfectly into the outer sheath compartment of the larger BK series knives. There is even an outer pocket on the BK-series sheath that accommodates the Remora when inserted into its own plastic sheath.
