5.0 out of 5 stars Good Blade, not for every occasion, but great for what it is.
As small defensive blades go, I am not a fan, if the situation devolves to a point you NEED a weapon I have always been in support of the biggest weapon you can get away with, a good folder increases both the intimidation value and the actual combat effectiveness.

3.0 out of 5 stars each knife comes slightly different.
These knives have a 2 inch blade and 3 inch body, so its not as small as you might think. It feels quite comfortable and youre able to poke holes through soda bottles right out the package. The blades will cut through paper but they arent that razor sharp... you can press hard on the blade with your finger and it wont cut you. I ordered TWO of them and BOTH came...

As small defensive blades go, I am not a fan, if the situation devolves to a point you NEED a weapon I have always been in support of the biggest weapon you can get away with, a good folder increases both the intimidation value and the actual combat effectiveness.

That being said, there is a small section of time when a small defensive knife is needed, when a gun, or larger blade would hinder or even endanger you and you need a small concealed response to a threat, for that point in time this blade really shines.

The two and a third inch blade length is sharp enough for some considerably nasty slashing attacks, the wedge tip allows for penetration in stabbing attacks and the overall thinness of the blade allows it to be concealed very easily on your person, that thinness comes at a cost though, the handle is almost non-existent, it is a straight bar handle, the pseudo guard keeps your hand from working up onto the blade reasonably effectively and the gimping on the back is VERY Aggressive and helps maintain control. I used the lanyard hole to add some paracord to the handle to assist in maintaining the grip, I sacrifice the thinness of the weapon but that was a personal decision.

The 3Cr13 steel wasn't the best for strength, but it takes an edge and is easy enough to resharpen, it is also reasonably rust resistant which is a consideration in the humid climates I work and live in.

If you need something to peel potatoes, or open boxes or throw at cardboard, look somewhere else, if you want a blade that will be there when the 'post production bio-matter hits the ceiling mounted rotary air circulatory device' this blade will do pretty well.

I ordered TWO of them and BOTH came different. One had a drop point curve to meet the blade point and a even and noticeable grind and it came with a sheath with a really strong grip holding the blade firmly in the sheath. The other knife was totally opposite it had an uneven grind that was more thin and the blade was slighly curved instead of straight. This one didnt have a drop point curve and the sheath for this knife was EXTREMELY weak and i could flick out the knife from the sheath by wiggling the sheath with the knife in it. So if you order multiple of this prodcut you might get one that seems better than the other.
