Highly recommended for students of Judaic mysticism.,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kabbalah Decoder (Hardcover)
The Kabbalah is a mystical tradition within Judaism packed with insights and inspiration for all, and Kabbalah Decoder provides a key to understanding concepts of the Kabbalah and its symbols. The strength here lies in pages packed with photos of the symbols and guidelines to their interpretation. Suitable for gift giving, personal and library reference alike. Highly recommended for students of Judaic mysticism.

Beautiful Overview of Kabbalah,
By
This review is from: Kabbalah Decoder: Revealing The Messages Of The Ancient Mystics (Paperback)
This book is an exquisitely beautiful overview of the subject of Kabbalah. While it doesn't go into depth, it is very comprehensive in its approach, with an extensive table of contents covering every aspect of the traditional Jewish study of Kabbalah, including its history, concepts, key teachers, sacred books, and much, much more. I originally found the book at the library when I was looking for Kabbalah reference material for a class I was teaching on the Tarot, and wanted to give my students a background on the Kabbalah and the Tree of Life. I became so enamored of the book that I ordered it from Amazon. In addition to the quality of the information, each page is beautifully illustrated with full color images on high quality glossy stock. There are also lessons in each chapter to help the student understand and apply the concepts. I would say that it is a must have for the library of any student of Kabbalah.

A beginner's guide to Kabbalah,
By
This review is from: Kabbalah Decoder (Hardcover)
A good primer for those that are interested in basic knowledge and historical roots for Kabbalah. Filled with pictures and charts, you can come away and actually remember what it is you read. I wasn't particularly thrilled with the attempt of the author to blend in other various religions as authoritative. Of course there are similarities but this hardly makes them legitimate. The beautiful illistrations are this book's saving grace. However, there are better books on Kabbalah.
