Stands out from most other electronic projects...,

Heimataerde is one of the few electronic acts doing something truly original. It has become almost cliched to say that electronic music all sounds the same, but it is true, especially in the dark electro scene. Heimataerde isn't exactly dark electro, isn't exactly industrial, but blends in a lot of these elements to create something really different.
Different isn't necessarily good, but I think this music is. It is heavily layered. Industrial beats are complemented by medieval folk music, the samples do not sound corny, and the lyrics are fairly good considering the subject matter. Songs take some time to develop, and they never feel repetitive. The interludes and instrumentals are excellent; they don't feel like filler material. The most energetic tracks on Kadavergehorsam are Lebloser Koerper and Morituri Salutant, the most mellow is Eins Sein. Songs like Jerusalem could probably have some crossover appeal for fans of medieval/Celtic music. I only bought Kadavergehorsam a few weeks ago, but so far I would say its replay value is high. Highly recommended.

EBM at its best,

Kadavergehorsam brings back memories of the golden age of harsh EBM acts like :wumpscut: or Suicide Commando. Heimataerde's unique atmosphericsound is pure bliss.

Heimataerde is an act I came across while I was looking for some new electro/industrial music, I heard a few songs before on various online sites so i decided to give them a shot. I bought their first album "gotteskrieger" and fell in love with their music. I found this album and knew I needed to have it, this is very original electro/industrial music. Heimataerde makes you move with their unique combination of agressive electronic music and celtic folk melodies. It will catch you by surprise and you will not help but like it!

Hard to explain, but in every way an EBM band could foster an original sound....this is the band that has manged to do so. Eqaul parts medeval, knights templar, bagpipes, norse gods....who knows what. Highly entertaing industrial EBM terror based fun. Worth checking out.
