Kaeline is GREAT!!!,
By
This review is from: Kae Argan Oil (Misc.)
This past summer my family and I spent two weeks in Morocco. During that time we visited women's cooperatives that were producing argan oil products near the beach town of Essouirra. Of course, I bought some products. Upon our return to the United States, I was disappointed to find that I could not purchase argan oil beauty products domestically. Then, to my great surprise I found that one company--Xandra Renouvelle--had become the sole distributor of Kaeline argan oil products in the US. Since August I have NOT stopped using Kaeline products. The Kaeline argan oil products have reduced the number of perimenopausal breakouts that I've experienced each month. I've used Kaeline argan oil on my occasional cold sores and have found it more effective than the more popular cold sore medications. Kaeline has also improved the texture of my hair and provided desparately needed moisture to my arms and legs.
I support Kaeline's mission in that it derives its argan oil from wholly owned and run women's cooperatives in Morocco. These cooperatives are designed to provide income to women, many of whom are single mothers or widows. Kaeline is certified by EcoCert, a European agency that supports organic and fair trade products. Since discovering discovering argan oil, I have remained a faithful customer of Kaeline.

Wonderfully moisturizing and non-greasy!,
This review is from: Kae Argan Oil (Misc.)
I read about this oil in the NY Times several months ago and bought a bottle and have been using it as a facial moisturizer ever since. I wanted to switch to using an oil on my face, but had a not-good experience with coconut oil (too heavy for my face, but great on the rest of my body) so I was bit nervous about it. It turned out to be a terrific product for me.
This oil is what I would call a 'dry' oil--not heavy and wet like olive oil. Just three drops is enough for my face and neck. Because I use so little, a bottle lasts a really long time--I still have not used up the original bottle--so it has turned out to be quite economical. It give my skin a beautiful glow and has lessened some fine lines around my eyes. I also use it on my cuticles. I really like the fact that it's certified organic and that it's made by a women's cooperative in Morocco. I would definitely re-purchase and will do so when I run out.

skin normalizer,

This Argan oil is fabulous...don't let the fact that it is an oil alarm you...it has cleard up my adult acne and calmed my sensitive skin like no other product. Now my skin behaves "normally". I like to smooth it into my damp skin so that it traps and holds the moisture. Also, I work a small amount into my hair at night for revilization of my dry, wavy hair.

This review is from: Kae Argan Oil (Misc.)
"This product is fabulous. I have a mild case of rosacea and have been using it for a week now. WOW! What a difference I've seen in my skin. It absorbs quickly into the skin leaving the skin feeling moisturized, yet not greasy. I would highly recommend this product line! Fast delivery... excellent customer service."

Keratosis Pilaris,
By
This review is from: Kae Argan Oil (Misc.)
The thought of putting oil on my skin really freaked me out when my friend suggested I try Kaeline Argan Oil. However, I took her advice and tried it out. Not only did it lessen the appearance of fine lines on my forehead and practically stop all breakouts on my face, but it drastically improved the Keratosis Pilaris I've had on my upper arms since I was a child. I've tried numerous products for this ailment and this is the first one that has made a significant improvement without any side effects (extreme sensitivty, burning sensation, etc.). Even when I haven't been 100% faithful in using it, my skin still looks 10x better than it did a year and half ago before I began. And this company is the only I would choose to buy it from because of the quality of their product as well as the fact that they work with all-women cooperatives in Morocco at fair trade prices.

Broke me out horribly,

I bought Kaeline, apparently now "Kae," argan oil, based soley upon the glowing reviews here, to use for my acne, fine lines, and chronically dry hair and scalp. It applies like a dry, odorless oil and instantly absorbs without leaving much if any sheen. Unfortunately for me, everywhere I applied the argan oil I got breakouts including deep painful boils in places that I *never* get acne. Those cysts would take at least a week to go away. Once those cleared up, I tried this again (not convinced this was the culprit), and was again be left with clogged pores and more breakouts in the areas where I applied the argan oil. It made the keratosis pilaris on my upper arms much worse and more noticeable. I got milia trying to use it lightly around my eyes. On the other hand, it is *too* light to be an effective hydrator for my coarse, ultra-dry hair (I even got some scalp breakouts) or even for my lips. The scalp bumps were the last straw of proof that this did not work with my oily, acne-prone skin. I rarely ever breakout on my scalp! I have a lot of product left that I am extremely reluctant to use, and (at the time I purchased) they do not allow returns if the product has been even barely used. Although I wanted this to work for me so very much, I will not buy Kaeline argan oil again. I found it was a HUGE waste of money (at my time of purchase this very same item cost $48 or so but even the current listed price is NOT cheap), provided no benefit, and even exacerbated skin problems! I did some reading, after my fiasco using this product. Oleic acid is one of the major components of (any brand's) argan oil. Oleic acid can be highly comedogenic for some. Your mileage may vary. It looks like the majority of people really benefit from this product (although many have reviewed solely this product for what that's worth). However, absolutely no product works for everyone. Likewise, a negative experience and critical review should not be automatically judged as unhelpful because it does not fall with the majority. UPDATE: In order to not waste my $48, I used the remainder of this product up as a body oil on damp, post-shower skin. Obviously, there are many cheaper and better smelling products for that purpose, but I had to use this stuff up! I suspect that company representatives monitor reviews here and comment under and vote down critical reviews.

i bought this to use during my pregnancy and was really happy with all aspects of it...this size is basically 5 oz, it lasted about 6 weeks with use about twice a day on my breasts, belly and hips. Very mild, slightly nutty smell was pleasant, it was very easy to apply, especially to damp skin, and no stretch marks yet (and i am very prone to them, have had them on my hips since puberty!). If you take a few extra minutes to gently massage it in, it is far less greasy than most lotions and creams and does last all day. The only thing that made me thing twice about reordering was the price tag-burts bees makes a highly rated product at a 1/4 of the price that i am going to try. Would be a great solution if you were only going to use it on your face....

acne gone!,
This review is from: Kae Argan Oil (Misc.)
I have been using argan oil by kaeline for over a year and have had absolutely no acne on my face. I would think since it has oil in the title it would leave my skin with a greasy feeling but it does no such thing. It works great for your face, hair, nails, pretty much everything. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
