This is my first Carafe of this kind so I cannot compare with any other one. This Carafe is good looking in pure white plastic - didn't look cheap. The lid is very well designed - easy to close/open and good system for liquid delivering. On bad side, they say that this pot can keep liquid hot for up to 13 hours but it's not true. In fact, coffee will stay pleasurably hot for about 3 hours - not more. I'm still satisfied about this buy regarding the very fair price.

I purchased this to hold my Bodum french press coffee maker coffee so it would not continue to steep and get bitter. It works like a charm and holds the entire pot (about 1 litre) at a uniform temperature. Reasonable care must be taken when washing or handling due to the glass liner. All-in-all, an attractive, high quality carafe that insulates the way it is supposed to.

I use my carafe (which Santa brought me) to keep my tea hot for hours. It's attractive, stable, easy to use. The lid goes on easily, though it can be difficult to open after it's been sitting for a while. For making tea, by the way, I find that a chopstick makes a great stirrer. An excellent choice, and a great value.

Strange but true: this product has fourteen reviews and no one has noticed that its capacity is less than half the advertised eight cups. Eight cups is two quarts. One look told me that it holds about one quart. I measured with a measuring cup and discovered that it actually it holds less than one quart. Then, I read Amazon's Product Features again, with care. Sure enough, it was as I remembered. It states, "8 cup capacity." But wait! I read on to "Product Description." In the last paragraph, Amazon states, "1-liter or 8-cup capacity." Does this mean that, if I want the larger of the two, I have to ask for the 8-cup carafe? Somehow, I think it means that Amazon's copywriter and editor do not know that one liter is roughly four cups. Finally, suspicious, I checked on the one liter claim. Also false. This time, to assure pretty good accuracy, I used a 100 milliliter graduated cylinder of the type chemists use. I followed the manufacturer's instruction to allow a two centimeter space (three-quarters of an inch, more-or-less) at the top and I determined that this carafe hold 925 milliliters. A liter is 1,000 milliliters. A quart is a bit smaller than a liter. Doing the math, I determined that the carafe holds 0.9774 quarts. That is about three cups, seven and one-quarter ounces. The carafe may be a great product but it is misrepresented. One star.

Keeps the beverage hot for hours, and, unlike some other products, the lid doesn't have holes that can collect liquid and develop nasty stuff you can't clean out. Happy I bought it.

I took a chance on this Carafe because I liked its looks and the price. I gave it to my daughter for Christmas and she is thrilled with it. This was my first purchase on Amazon and I am completely happy with the service and will do more buying on this site. The Carafe is even more attractive than the picture of it. Sorry that I can't be funny but I am more than satisfied. Anyone that wants a really attractive Carafe should go for this one.

I ordered this 8-cup carafe before Christmas and received a carafe, not the right one, in February. The carafe I received was a 1-liter carafe, but a cup is 250 ml, so it is a 4-cup carafe. It took a lot of searching the Amazon site to find their contact info, and they gave me the manufacturers US contact. I have left numerous messages with Robin at Kaiser Alfie and have received nothing from her.
I would like to receive want I paid for, an 8-cup carafe. So far, I've been jerked around!
Buyer Beware!

I bought this product to actually brew tea and keep it hot. I have had metal insulated products that got stained and scratched.
So far this carafe has exceeded my expectation. It is lightweight and despite the exterior being made of plastic, it is not not cheap looking, in fact, it is pretty
elegant.
No problem with pouring tea out of it, the button works perfectly.
It is easy to clean and appears durable.
I am very satisfied with it.

Previously, we had owned two Copco Simplify carafes, which were fine in all respects except for the buttons on the lids breaking. Thought we would upgrade a little bit in price, and it turns out to have been well worth it. This carafe is well-designed, solid, and does a great job keeping coffee hot. I really like the lid design - very easy to pour. In terms of the issue regarding capacity, I haven't taken the time to note how many cups my husband and I pour out of it between us; however, I do know that when I set the coffemaker on 10 cups, I can pour all of it except for one cup (which I pour for myself) into the carafe. Perfect. So whether it holds 8 official cups or not, it's just the right size for us.
