5.0 out of 5 stars Well Made Springform Pan
This pan does what it is advertised to do. It is leak proof as far as the ingredients inside the pan won't leak out. Don't be fooled by leak proof though, because water will leak into the pan unless you wrap the pan in aluminum foil first. It is cut resistant. Pan is heavy weight and durable. Well made.

3.0 out of 5 stars Heavy duty, but still some minor leaking
This is the best springform we've had, but even this one leaks a bit around the edges. The unique bottom pan does a good job of minimizing any mess caused by a leak.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the best springform pan available!, August 21, 2010

Samia (Chicago, IL United States) - See all my reviews

I believe that this is the best springform pan available on the market. I was introduced to the Kaiser bakeware line many years ago during a cheesecake class at a housewares speciality store. The instructor stated, "This is the best springform pan that I have ever used" and I fully agree. The pan is well constructed and long lasting. I have been using the Kaiser La Forme 10 inch springform pan for over 10 years. When I needed a 9 inch pan, there was no question that I would purchase Kaiser again. This Kaiser La Forme Plus 9 inch springform seems to be even better quality than the Kaiser La Forme line. The description states that the pan has the latest nonstick coating and a scratch-proof enamel surface. The pan also seems to be slightly heavier and the buckle is much larger. Although the base is cut resistant, I always line with parchment paper and cut very carefully. So far, there are no scratches. I use this pan mainly for cheesecakes and I have never had any issue with leaking. I always hand wash this pan.

In terms of price, this pan is expensive when compared to other name brand pans but is well worth the price. I was willing to pay a little more because I expect to use this pan for many years to come.

I highly recommend this Kaiser La Forme Plus 9 inch springform pan.

3.0 out of 5 stars Still leaks, December 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
LaForme Springform pan- Unfortunately, though I wrapped the pan in a double layer of foil, the pan still leaks when placed in a water bath. I also checked to see if it leaked when filled with batter, and the contents leaked. On the plus side it produced a nicely browned top to my cheesecake, although the crust was soggy. I guess there is no such thing as a leakproof springform pan.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Springform Pan different from the rest!, April 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you are a baking enthusiast and often bake cakes in springform pans, this is a really good investment. It is one of the most expensive springform pans I have seen so far, but in terms of built quality and features, it differs from the conventional springform pans.
This pan is built with high quality material and is heavier that the normal springforms. I heard that this allows for better heat distribution and conductivity, but have yet to try it out.
The best thing I love about it is that you can release the buckle and both adjoining ends of the spring form ring can be detached. This allows for easy cleaning as compared to the conventional springform pans, in which the cake crumps gets stuck at the hard to reach crevices.
Other features includes it cut resistant non-stick surface which I doubt I will try with a knife. (this pan is way too expensive to take this risk). And it is leak-proof as well.
It comes nicely packaged in a nice colored cardboard storage box with a recipe booklet in German.
In summary, this pan is very expensive but it is worth the money if you require the unique features.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best spring form pan, November 28, 2011

I've used several spring form pans for making a triple chocolate mousse cake and only this pan allowed me to remove the cake without losing most of the bottom mousse layer. I was also surprised to see that the bottom layer cooks up twice as high as in my other pans. It's a great pan and worth the extra price!

5.0 out of 5 stars So far So Good!, June 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this for my husband for christmas, as he is the cook here in the little log house - I hoped it would be worth the extra $ I paid in comparison to the cheaper springform pans purchased in the past. We were not disappointed. No leaks, and the cheesecakes have turned out beautifully.

The pan is heavy, substantial, and looks as if it will last a long time.

Good product, worth the price. And I get to eat more cheesecake since he's happy with it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent cookware, March 16, 2011

The form seals beautifully, even when baking items that usually leak. But what I like best of all is that I can serve right from the bottom of the spring form, there is no need to remove the cake to another platter. The finish is tough enough to handle a knife.

5.0 out of 5 stars pricey, but worth it., November 17, 2011

This review is from: Kaiser Bakeware LaForme Plus 12-Inch Springform Pan (Kitchen)
I have used a Kaiser Springform Pan for 30 years and decided I wanted a new one because the black coating was starting to come off. My son had purchased a 9-inch spring form not too long ago and said the finish on these newer pans appeared to be a lot more durable and that he was very satisfied with his. I ordered a 12-inch pan and have been very impressed with the improvements they made and also with the much better finish. I am sure this one will last as long as I need it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, September 14, 2011
This springform pan is amazing! I made a cheesecake before in a cheaper springform pan and while it tasted good, it looked terrible (brown on top)...This Kaiser pan yielded a very good-looking cheesecake!
