4.0 out of 5 stars Great pan, but why can't we buy the parts separately?
A good pan; great for cheesecakes, or any other kind of cakes (doesn't work for Jello salad, though!). It comes in 2 parts; the base, and the wall part. The buckle on the wall part is VERY sturdy, and the wall is reversible, so it's jusat as easy to use whether you're right-handed or left-handed. But I inadvertently scratched the base (it's easy to do!), and it seems...

2.0 out of 5 stars Great while the non-stick lasted.
This pan is one of the best ones I've used for cheesecakes, however, after several uses, I found that the non-stick began to peel off. For the price, I did not expect this. Perhaps, it was just a fluke, but for the next pan, I will try another brand.

The buckle on the wall part is VERY sturdy, and the wall is reversible, so it's jusat as easy to use whether you're right-handed or left-handed. But I inadvertently scratched the base (it's easy to do!), and it seems there's no way to just buy another base without buying the whole unit. So if you buy one, be CAREFUL not to scratch the base; don't get a metal knife anywhere near it! Maybe they should include a non-stick plastic knife; it would be a nice touch!

5.0 out of 5 stars best springform pan EVER, June 19, 2009
This review is from: Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse 10-Inch Nonstick Springform Pan (Kitchen)
this is the best spring form pan i have ever used...
i made a HUGE cheese cake in this pan to test it out and it turned out very well this time around compared to other pans i have used in the past to make cheese cakes in.
the side ring popped off clean and easy after the cheese cake had cooled and it also is leak proof which is a big plus to me seeing i do not want to clean my oven after every use.
the nonstick finish has lasted so far for me... i know other reviews said it was coming off for them but mine is still there. but its super nonstick so the cheese cake slid right off after it was cooled down.
the pan its self was easy to clean... well other then the part on the main ring that expands out when it opens. thou i hand wash everything so i do not know how this would hold up in a dish washer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent Pan, August 9, 2009

You get what you pay for here. This pan is not the heaviest gauge that Kaiser produces and I was disappointed to discover that. But I guess I should have known better with the price. Although the product literature states that this pan is "leak proof" it indeed leaks. But, it doesn't leak much and I can live with it for the price. The pan is sturdy and the locking mechanism works well. Non-stick finish needs to be treated with common sense - like all non-stick finishes you must use utensils that are non-metal. Those who complain that the surface gets scratched with a knife should have known better. Bottom line is that it's s decent pan for the price.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as shown in picture, July 22, 2011
This review is from: Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse 10-Inch Nonstick Springform Pan (Kitchen)
I bought this thinking it was a larger version of a pan that we already have and really like. The one we have is very heavy gauge metal, and dark inside and out. The one in the picture looks like it is dark inside and out, suggesting a heavy gauge metal. However, the one we received is clearly lightweight metal, similar to the light gray pie tins you can buy. It feels like it has no substance to it and that looking at it will cause it to crumple. Also, unlike the pan in the picture, the inside of the pan is light gray (like a cheap pan would be) but the outside appears to have been spray-painted dark grey on the wide middle part (the bottom and top rims are lighter grey). I'm sending it back. I'm glad the Amazon has a good return policy and the opportunity to leave feedback.

A rather expensive pan at first glance, but the best perfotming springform pan I have ever owned. It is worth every penny!
My cheesecake turned out much better with this wonderful heavy pan. The info on it was true that it is leak proof I'm not sorry I splurged and bought it.
