Warps like all the rest, but still great,

This review is from: Kaiser Bakeware Tinplate 16-by-14-Inch Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
I bought the Kaiser on the recommendation of Cook's Illustrated, and for the most part they live up to the hype. They do discolor quickly, and while the discoloration can be removed with Bar Keeper's Friend, it doesn't affect the cooking so I don't bother. The size and feel of the sheet is perfect. Despite what Cook's claimed, they warp in the oven almost as much as the Ekco, but it's never been a problem. I bake a lot of chocolate chip cookies, and these sheets brown them more evenly than any other I've used. While I harbor an extravagant wish to try the All-Clad cookie sheet, really I can't imagine needing a better one than the Kaiser.

Cook's Picks a Winner,

We first saw these cookie sheets recommended in Cook's Illustrated and bought them in preparation for a bout of Christmas cookie baking. As usual, Cook's picked a winner. These cookie sheets are sturdy (we've experienced no warping), easy to clean, and stack compactly. Unlike cookies baked on dark, non-stick cookie sheets, the cookies baked on these browned perfectly, top and bottom. They'll likely last us a long time.

I don't know what happened to some of these other people; all I know is that I too bought this cookie sheet because of the recommendation of Cook's Illustrated and I LOVE it. I purchased one for me and one for my mom and we both have had nothing but perfect baking experiences. How could you even go wrong with such a quality pan for about...? I have never once burned cookies with this sheet and neither mine nor my mom's have warped at all (and we have used them many times for almost a year). We both will purchase Kaiser cookie sheets from now on. I actually was here to purchase another one when I read the few unfavorable reviews and felt the need to stick up for my favorite cookie sheet.

4 is not enough,

These cookie sheets were recommended by Cooks Illustrated as best buy for the money. I love mine I just wish I had gotten more than 4. I do alot of cookie baking for Christmas and these are the best sheets I have. I have tried the insulated ones, and I like these better. The cookies brown evenly, and the sheet doest warp like most.

This is the one! Don't mess around,

Good cookie sheets are a must if you bake. Cook's Illustrated went through the trouble of testing many sheets, and this one came out on top. I agree. Dark sheets just burn the cookies. You want a tin surface, bright, to avoid burning. While I know of a method with two sheets, to bake many cookies (you wave the freshly unloaded sheet around to cool it quickly after you put the other filled sheet in the oven.) I recommend you get 4 or more sheets. The mass-production of cookies is time consuming and the rate-limiting step is forming them and loading them onto the sheets.

As many of the other reviewers have previously mentioned, this cookie sheet isn't the prettiest of the lot but it does heat cookies very evenly. I haven't scorched a single cookie since buying one of these. They're fairly heavy but they'll still warp slightly when heated and de-warp when cooling. Big deal, my cookies certainly don't seem to mind. I don't know much about cleaning them. I use a silicon baking mat so I've never really had to scour my sheets. If you haven't already done so, spend the $10 and buy yourself a silicon baking mat. They really are a miraculous invention.
Why 4 stars? I left off one star because the side edges of the sheet fold downwards to create a substantial lip. The lip makes it hard to slide the sheet to the middle or back of the oven rack without it catching the front edge of the rack. I either have to slide it all the way in and drop it, or pull the oven rack out first. Either method is a bit of a nuisance. The bottom line is I'm ordering another one of these cookie sheets and another silicon mat today. My last 50 or so batches of cookies have been so much more consistent that I think it's money well spent.

Great cookie sheet! I recently purchased two of these after deciding to give cookie-baking one last try. With other pans, my cookies always wound up with raw dough on top and burned bottoms. The only changes I made?: Using these sheets instead and swapping them in the oven (middle to top rack) halfway through baking time. I've had excellent results and cleanup is a breeze.

I've baked over 1,000 cookies on this cookie sheet over the course of 8 days, and I'm thrilled with it. The sheet consistently gave even heat distribution, so no burnt cookies! Despite what other reviewers have said, mine did not warp at all. The raised "handle" side gives a great place to grip when handling the hot cookie sheet. The flat side worked perfectly together with parchment paper, allowing me to slide the baked cookies off and a fresh batch on in seconds. I will admit that the sheet became a bit discolored, but who cares? I want the cookies to look nice, not the cookie sheet!
