4.0 out of 5 stars Nice pans
These are a nice weight and don't have the non-stick finish, so you can use any kind of utensils on them without worrying about scratches. The buckles seem very well made and pop open easily for removing the bottoms. The only thing I find annoying is that the middle pan is more of a 9-1/2 inch pan than a 9 inch. I guess this doesn't really matter too much for most...

1.0 out of 5 stars Brand new pans are rusting!
The very first time I used the pan, I noticed some rust around the clamp. At first I thought it was just some burned cake batter, but after the second use, it was quite obvious that it was rust. Not only is it rusting around the clamp, the pan is rusting around the interior of the rim. What a disappointment!

I guess this doesn't really matter too much for most recipes, but the other two pans are dead on at 8 and 10 inches. Such a great price for all three, compared to what just one of the non-stick springform pans costs, and these will last forever.

Update:

Two cheesecakes later (with perfect results), and I'm very happy with this set. I wanted to note that although the pans are not rated to 500 degrees, the baking method I used to prevent cracking instructed me to bake the cheesecake for 15 minutes at 500 and then at 200 for another hour. I did this both times with no cracks or damage to the pans. While this might not be the smartest thing to do (always best to follow manufacturers instructions) I got good results. The cakes released easily from the pan when chilled and I had no problems with sticking.

5.0 out of 5 stars great pans, October 26, 2010

These are great pans. I hate that non-stick stuff they put in everything now-a-days and these don't have that junk on them. I just line the bottom with wax paper and butter the sides or butter the sides and bottom if it is crustless and going to freeze for a skyscraper cheesecake and nothing sticks to the pan. You do have to use foil on the outside so the water bath doesn't leak in, but you have to with almost all springform pans anyway. I love that I can use a metal table knife on it when I do a frozen one and not worry about hurting the pan! I got this with the Juniors cheesecake cookbook and so far every one I have made in them hasn't stuck or burnt or anything, they are perfect.

1.0 out of 5 stars Brand new pans are rusting!, November 15, 2010

Not only is it rusting around the clamp, the pan is rusting around the interior of the rim. What a disappointment!
Just for the record, I cleaned the pan immediately after use; did not let it sit around all wet or anything else to encourage rust. I predict that the pan will last less than a year at the rate it's going. This is completely unacceptable! My mom kept pans for decades and nowadays a pan is rusting within days? Ridiculous. These were a gift from my son, but I am going to do my best to return them.

I made a cheesecake the day after they got here. It was perfect, but there are some things that bug me. One, its really flexible and it bends easily, it was bent from the shipment, but it was simple enough to bend them back. Love the finish, will be using it often.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Pans, May 27, 2011

These were my first springform pans, so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but my experience with them has been positive. I made a cheesecake and the 10' was perfect for that. I also used the 8' to make an apple cake, which turned out great. There was no leaking, easy to clean, no deformation. I'm very happy with these pans.

spend a few dollars extra and buy these and not the cheap pans. These things are great. They are non-stick and are not flimsy. My wife has used all three pans so far for making cheescakes and she swears by these things already. She has used them in the oven up to 450 degrees and has had no problem yet.

I love them!! Although, I have to admit the middle pan is 9 1/2" instead of nine like someone mentioned before.

This is my first time using a springform pan. These pans are very sturdy and worked well. I think the one that is supposed to be 9" is a little larger, but overall I really like the product.
