This review is from: Kaiser 11.5 To 12.5 Barbie & Similar Types Metal Doll Stand (Toy)
It does the job it's intended to do, and it's inexpensive. The top part slides up and down a bit to adjust for different sized dolls.

This review is from: Kaiser 11.5 To 12.5 Barbie & Similar Types Metal Doll Stand (Toy)
There are basically two kinds of Barbie stands, the straddle stand that comes with many Barbies, especially the collector dolls, and the Kaiser stand. I've come to appreciate the sturdiness and design of the Kaiser stand, which grips the doll firmly round the waist and is height adjustable. With the straddle stands, often the doll's feet don't quite touch the base, making her pretty unstable and hard to pose. The straddle stands also are made of plastic and can warp, which makes them useless. The Kaiser stand is made of plastic-coated metal and lasts pretty much forever. I have a large doll collection, and the Kaisers are now my stands of choice. I highly recommend them.
