Overall grade

Head and face sculpt: Snake resembles his usual likeness but lacks the gritty features of recent Metal Gear games thanks to his less detailed anime-art style. Although still a quality sculpt, his features are softer with less shadowing and detail. His head has 3 individual parts- 4 if you count the head band strands that snap on in the back. The top hair piece, back of mullet hair piece and face all connect with small Revoltech joints. His eye-ball is moveable (a nice touch) allowing for some great facial expressions but is difficult to move because of its position in the socket and small size. His head sits on a ball and socket joint atop his neck. All in all a nice sculpt. Skin and hair colors are done well. The strands of his head band pop into back of his head on a peg and can be rotated around at point of insertion but peg is weak- mine broke off with only one use. Neck piece has ball joint on both ends.

Body Sculpt: A good sculpt with high attention detail. Suit color, texture and sculpt of cloth/material folds are well done. Straps are individually sculpted around waist and groin just like video game suit.

Articulation: If you are new to revoltech figures and articulation, it may take some getting used to. The figures are built to look good in stationary poses but in my opinion not sturdy enough to be frequently posed or played with. The limbs and jointed sections of body will come out of there sockets often. Also the design and angles of the cuts in these joints makes natural movement awkward and lends to the frequency of the figure coming apart (frustrating).

I've owned this figure for over a month now and I gotta say I still love it every time I go into my room. The poses that are possible with this figure are pretty endless... Every limb can be moved freely with ease which makes for great action poses. It does have a different type of "Artstyle" that may put some people off but honestly I was completely fine with the way it looks... If you're looking for something that's alittle more true to the MGS artstyle then you may like the Play Arts Kai figure line of Metal Gear. The Box, Weapons and "!" "Zzz" are great, every week I'm changing the pose with something new.

As someone who played every Metal Gear game multiple times. I love this thing to death... Cant wait till Revoltech Raiden comes out.

One of Revoltech Yamaguchi's best figures! Perfect addition to your Nintendo line up (Smash Bros)

Pros: Very good articulation and style. Comes with couple hands, stand, 25th Anniversary Cardboard box, etc.

Cons: The (Revoltech) joints stick out on the neck and shoulders.

This is my first metal gear toy.A must have figure in my books.

Not 100% what i wanted for my first mgs snake figure but Revoltech is a GOOD toy company and i am 100% happy with the this over other toys out there .(Mostly for the price the other's go for .)

Revoltech is a company that make figure's worth the 30-70 bucks. Not like some company where they over charge for poorly done sculpts .I won't point figure's but some company's gone down hill with their figure's ..Kaiyodo have keep their good work and word on their name for a toy company up since i started my love of figure's since start of some time in 2000's .(when it was big trend on figure's )

Don't get me wrong, I think the figure is quite nice. However it's not as poseable as I thought. It has a LOT of points of articulation but the joints are very stiff. I'm afraid of actually having to manhandle this thing because it doesn't feel very sturdy. It has a lot of nifty little things like lots of weapons, a little weapons locker box and even a cutout of the cardboard box but Snake himself doesn't feel very well built. It has a stand and a little post to prop up the figure but even still parts of his arms don't look right. It's cool but I wouldn't spend too much on him. The Revoltech-minis seems to be more pose friendly than the actual regular sized ones.

It's good but the quality of plastic that using for it, is not that good, also many pieces to put and remove and you can't play with it only you should make as status.

The first thing I noticed about this figma is the quality. I typically only buy figmas by Good Smile, however I wanted to try a Revoltech. Detail is amazing, so it's not all bad. My biggest issue was these are delicate. The headband ribbon broke just trying to put it together.
