Book Description

1563271885 978-1563271885 July 18, 1997
More than a guide to establishing a proposal system, this volume presents methods for teaching know-how. It gives each reader the principles for thinking creatively about improving his or her own work.

This highly practical book is filled with easily understood explanations and examples of how to teach your employees to pursue excellence through kaizen teian.

Before you can institute a successful kaizen teian program, you must have a firm understanding of its underlying principles and rules. This book concentrates on making those principles clear and focuses on the importance of consistently implementing proposals. Actual examples of implemented proposals from five leading Japanese companies illustrate the principles described, and numerous figures and case studies add clarity throughout. If you are ready to tap into the full potential of your work force, this book will help you to train them to seek out new and ever better ways to do their work.

5.0 out of 5 stars How to Change Your Company (If you are ready), December 19, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Kaizen Teian 2: Guiding Continuous Improvement Through Employee Suggestions (No. 2) (Paperback)
If you are serious about really changing your company buy these books, I, II, and III. If you are looking for another "program of the month" don't. This is a common sense approach to serious employee envolvement that you must be ready to fully embrace. And I mean embrace from the top down. Common sense, humanistic approaches like this are why the Japanese continue to excel at business in the USA. If used fully, this will help your company. If used half-heartedly, it will be another nail.

4.0 out of 5 stars After the Why in part 1, now the HOW, April 18, 2008
By
Eric Schmitz (Leuven, Belgium) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kaizen Teian 2: Guiding Continuous Improvement Through Employee Suggestions (No. 2) (Paperback)
Kaizen Teian has as target building people. This is very well described in part 1. So, the question 'Why Teian' is clear.

However Why needs also How! So in part 2 you will find - again in the typical japanese detailled way of describing - the method how to do. Clear SOP are written down inclusive reward- or bonussystems, working instructions and so on. With this book you can start implementing your own Teian suggestions- or walking idea-box!

So if you believe and work at lean manufacturing, then this book wil help you explore further the building of people.
Highly recommended
