This is one of the best hats you can buy. I've been wearing western hats for fifty years;and this hat is better than the most expensive.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN INTO FULL RIM HATS. I NEEDED ONE FOR THE WORK AND REST I DO SO I GAMBLED ON THIS. I AM VERY HAPPY THAT I DID. IT FITS PERFECTLY, AND ALREADY I HAVE BEEN THROUGH A TWENTY DEGREE DIFFERENCE WITH RAIN, AND BEING A GLASSES WEARER, I CAN SAY I AM DEFINITELY PLEASED. I RECOMMEND THIS HAT FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR THIS TYPE OF PRODUCT FOR ANY REASON.

This hat says it is a product of Australia, but is made in China. Upon examination, one can see where corners were cut to bring down the price so it is affordable,but it looks great when worn, and it fits even my head perfectly. I have a long face, which makes finding hats that don't make me look like an egghead difficult, but this one fits very nicely. My roommate tried it on (he has a round face) and it looked nice on him too.

The band is sewn into the hat, which I did not know (someone talked about removing the band and replacing it with something else), but without the band the hat looks cheesy and cheap, and i would not recommend taking it off. This hat protects also protects one from the sun and rain very well.

One thing I did do to this hat after a little while of owning it was put a snap button on the left side, so I could snap up the brim like a proper Australian hat, and that made the hat look even sweeter. After that small modification, it was the perfect hat for me, and reminded me of a hat my mother got from her adventures in the bush.

The sizing chart is not accurate at all. According to the chart I ordered my dad a small - we had to send it back and get a large - which was a bit too large but the medium was also too small.

The hat looks great - the quality seems very nice

The company was extremely helpful, kind, and courtious as we worked through finding the closest fit.

Don't use the hat sizes as a guide - take the time to measure your head and find what seems closest based on that.

The customer service was excellent, the product arrived quickly. The braided band on the hat fell off on the first day, which was more of the manufacturers responsibility than of the seller.

I bought this as a gift for a friend & it was perfect. It came quickly & fit well according to thier sizing chart :D

Kakadu® Crushable Leather Hat

Very very comfy. Fast delivery and shipping even though I just paid for standard. The hat flexes nice, no wire in the brim to keep it in place but because it's 100% leather it molds pretty well. I really enjoy the fact that it's 100% leather, great for blocking the sun. Also has place to attach chin strap if you feel you need one. I wear it all the time now.

I usually don't like wearing hats. I used to wear a baseball cap for when I go fishing or hiking taking wildlife photo's. My wife hates the way I look in those baseball caps. I started trying on hats at stores and didn't like how I looked in the traditional cowboy hats. But since the doctor told me to avoid the sun as much as possible, I needed something so I could spend the day on the boat. I was going to get the hat with the chin strap but didn't like the price, especially if I didn't like how I looked in it. I really like this hat plus everyone compliments me on how nice it looks. I was surprised to find two tabs so I can make my own chin strap. I wear a 24-1/2" and the 2XL fits me perfect, not to tight and not too loose. It's soft and pliable but yet holds its shape (haven't had the guts to crush it up, looks too good). If I like it so much, why only 4 stars? It's developed in Australia but made in China. It looks well constructed, so we'll see how it holds up over time. Oh by the way... I like it so much that I wear it all the time I'm outside. Thumbs up!!!

I got this hat for my husband for Christmas. He likes it very much but it was a little too tight. We are hoping to stretch it out by wearing it. i expect he will wear it for a long time. The leather is a nice color and texture too.
