I was looking for a bed to get my small pup off the ground (a six year old Pomeranian mutt with bad joints). When his bed was on the floor he would wake up stiff and sluggish and limping around. With this bed he bounces right up, ready to go.

The bed was easy to put together. I was a bit concerned it might be cheap and flimsy, or that the material would give me trouble but its perfect for a pup of about 25 pounds. Even the big doc (a 70 lb German Shepard/Golden Retriever mix) gets on it once when no one's looking. I've had it a few months and its a cinch to keep clean. Dog hair rolls right off it. Lay a towel down to keep stains to a minimum.

In fact, I'm thinking of buying another one for the big dog. I'll need a larger size though.

The dog (45# standard poodle) loves the bed. Drawback? like wrestling an alligator to get the sides to fit into the end pieces. Once done, it works very
well. Bed is light and easily moved, cleaned, and the dog uses it. All good

This is a very nice dog bed. I purchased it with the matching pad and would give it 5-stars for quality, construction, ease of assembly, and overall attractiveness--I really liked this bed.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get my dog to see it that way. I was patient, thinking perhaps she just needed time to get used to it, but to no avail. Finally on several occasions I tried placing her on it, praising her and marveling over what a great bed she had, but it was as if she'd stay just long enough to feel her penance was paid. I suppose if I'm honest with myself, I'd have to ask--why would my dog want her own bed when she can lay on mine or jump on the couch anytime she wants. I guess that's what I get for letting her live the pampered life.

One aim in purchasing an elevated bed was thinking I could place it over the air conditioning vents on the floor so that not only my dog would be cool, but we'd feel the benefit too--as normally she lays over the "cool vent" blocking the airflow. I didn't stop to consider that once the pad is attached, the cool air can only travel around, not through the bed. Also, while the medium sized bed seemed large enough for her 32 lb girth, if she didn't lay exactly in the middle, her head would rest on the edge, so maybe she didn't care for that either.

I really wanted this bed to work out, but couldn't justify the expense of a continually empty, $62-dollar dog bed--no matter how much I liked it myself. So if your dog is young and isn't allowed on your furniture, this bed may work out great. However if your dog has already established habits of lounging around the house where ever she pleases, it's probably a long-shot she'll make any pet bed her choice.

My dog loved this bed. Much more hygienic than others and very easy to assemble. I loved this product too.

We are VERY pleased with this bed. We have a slab home in Florida. This keeps our precious pet off the cold floors in winter and in summer allows air flow under the bed. It is not too high. Our mini Shiz-zu can easily get up and down. This has to be healthier for his joints and hopefully will reduce his chances for arthritis. Purchased a cover replacement but not sure I will ever need it as the cover that comes with is Very durable. I Also bought the pad for winter.

This seemed like a good idea for my smaller dog who really enjoyed a Coolaroo bed I got for my larger dog.

I had no trouble setting up this bed until I got to the last leg. The posts fit in one another and are secured when a metal peg springs into a matching hole on the opposite piece. One of my legs was missing the metal post. This is intensely frustrating after having gotten the rest of the thing set up. I searched the box and everything. This part was just clearly overlooked at the factory and was no fault of Amazon.

I tried contacting the company and got no help so it immediately went back thanks to Amazon's easy returns. Although the bed seemed nice, i was really annoyed with the whole experience and will not order a replacement. Made in China does not equal great quality control in this case.

My dog use to jump in bed with us... now he climbs on to his own bed! Very pleased, would recommend.

I ordered this yesterday and received it a couple of hours ago. Assembly was a breeze and took me 3 minutes. There's a little brute strength involved to get the last piece in, but it's good healthy exercise. I went ahead and bought a spare cot cover so that I can rotate them out for cleaning.

I made one of these myself out of PVC pipe and a heavy canvas about 2 years ago, but I found that the canvas/duck cloth began to sag after about 3 months of use and it retained odor so much that the smell of dog was prominent when you walked into the room. No amount of washing/bleaching will get rid of my Dachshund/American bull Dog special smell. And constructing a new cover every few months got exhausting, so I'm hoping this holds up better than my craft project.

She knew exactly what it was as I was finishing the assembly and I barely had all four legs on the floor before she jumped into it with tail wagging. She proceeded to put every toy she could find in the center just to let the 3 cats know that this was her space. It didn't last long though. With a bit of pawing by the cats the toys had been cleared and all three had claimed the cot.

The wars have begun.

The cot is easy to assemble and seems quite sturdy despite it being light weight. I have two
young dogs who have already chewed the canvas trim and I will need to replace it. The good
news is that I can order the new bed canvas easily. If you have a chewer, you could be in my
situation fairly readily in light of the way the canvas bed has exposed edges on the corners.
But, for the price, I am happy with it so far and would order another. The beige gets dirty quickly
from dirty feet, even though it is indoors. I might get a darker color next time.

I use the Elevated Cot indoors, Coco went on it right away, after being tired of dirty stuffed beds he dragged all over the place and destroyed. The bed stays in place and after one month it is still in one peace. For indoor use, you better get the matt they sell separately, so the dog stays warm. Easy to clean.
I recommend it without a doubt.
