We had a Potette Plus for about a year and it is a fantastic product that held up well and was perfect for both toilet seat use and stand-alone potty use outdoors. Then we accidentally lost it and replaced with this version, not realizing that it can only be used as a stand-alone, and NOT also on toilets such as in restaurants, playground bathrooms, etc. Do yourself a favor and buy the Plus to get maximum use out of this terrific, indispensable product.

What a Godsend this has been. Our daughter is 3 years old and we take this thing everywhere! Sure, we keep Potty-toppers with us, but sometimes that just isn't enough. This On The Go Potty is far better than any porta-potty or gross outdoor park restroom.

We have used this potty at the park, while making rounds at build/construction sites, at baseball games, even in the parking garage of our hockey rink! Our daughter can use it just about anywhere. It's small size allows her to use it discreetly and comfortably.

If you EVER venture more than 30 seconds from a clean toilet, you NEED this. Then you'll wonder how you ever got by without it!

I bought the fisher price on-the-go potty first because there were a few negative reviews about the much smaller potette (claims that it collapses, is flimsy, hard to use, too small, etc.)and the FP had a higher star rating. I later bought the potette for a trip and am so very glad I did! When it comes to travel it is FAR SUPERIOR than the big, bulky Fisher price travel potty!

The potette is very sturdy if you set it up correctly. You have to click the legs into place. If you set it up without them snapping into place - of course it will be wobbly and possibly collapse! It was set up wrong! When clicked into place the legs are super sturdy and the potette will hold up to 50 pounds. My daughter is 3 and weighs 36 pounds. She had no problems at all using this and I anticipate she will be able to use it till at least kindergarten. I don't get the previous comments about it being too small - perhaps if you have big, big kids it might be too small, but otherwise it's just fine!

We recently went on a cruise from Puerto Rico through the Southern Caribbean and this potty was a life-saver!! We went to many national monuments, botanical gardens, a volcano and other outdoor excursions where there were either NO public toilets, or they were super gross hole in the ground toilets. The pottette was the perfect solution in those situations! It is small and lightweight, so it fits in your purse or pack, sets up quick and stays clean. disposal of the used bags is easy because they have absorbent pads inside and you can tie them securely so that they won't make any messes until you find a trash can. The potette has a thick plastic bag it comes in, so you can even stick the used bag inside that with the potette till you find a trash.

I carried this to India since my son started potty training just before we left. Wound up using it with relatives who didn't have conventional Western toilets and restaurants that had toilets that weren't kept clean. This is definitely going in the trunk of my car for any future emergencies. The travel bag it comes with isn't anything to write home about, but it afforded a clean way to carry and store the potty and some refills, along with a few diapers and a travel pack of wipes.

I bought this for my 21 month old who is just starting to potty train. I thought this could be used either free standing with the bag attached or on top of a regular potty as a potty seat. I have seen another potty that looked just like this one where the feet flip out so you can use it over a regular potty, but you can't do that with this one. This one can only be used sitting on the floor with the bag attached. It is so short and flimsy and the seat is so thin that it looks terribly uncomfortable. My daughter doesn't seem to like it very much, but she will use it if she has no other choice. I also don't like the idea that you have to use it with a bag and absorbent pad attached. That seems so environmentally unfriendly and, if you buy the bags, you don't save much over using diapers. I'm glad this wasn't too expensive because I'll probably be buying a different one for travel purposes. The only positive thing I've found about this one is that it is very small, light, and portable. It will fit in my diaper bag or even a large purse so it is easy to carry around.

This is not meant to stand in as a regular toilet but to be used for emergencies. And for that it is perfect. We have a three year old and sometimes when you are little and you have to go... It is small but I find it is perfect to fold up and keep in the car. On a recent Girl Scout trip, two older girls (9 and 13) had emergencies and used it successfully. Again, no it is not the most comfortable toilet. But there are no sharp edges and in an emergency it more than meets the need!

We have been using the Kalencom Portable Potty for over two years, whether around town or on long road trips, and can't be happier with it! My daughter was a tall and big toddler, but we never had trouble on stability or pinching. Bottom line is... we never leave her unsupervised when she is on the portable potty. This is an on-the-road solution, not meant to replace regular potties at home, so I have no problem that it requires a little more work and attention during use. My daughter likes the portable potty and is comfortable on it (can talk, sing, joke and read while sitting on it...is that enough..?).

I used to purchase the Kalencom liners, but eventually got similar plastic bags (new ones from packaging stores, so there is no risk of holes like used grocery bags), and just put paper towels inside.

The top of the seat is not flat. The elevated parts are supposed to be at the front/back of the child, not the sides. Also, when you set it up, the "legs" must be swung out to it's maxium, then pushed towards the seat-top until you hear a "click" sound.

My daugther is 4 now and we rarely use it anymore, but we still carry it for road trips. It's been a LIFE-SAVER for us many times. Get one and you wouldn't regret it!
