2 and 1/2 years ago, I purchased a Kaloo bear for the first time for my unborn grandson. For the first 2 years of his life, it became the object he would go to sleep with, hold and cuddle for comfort. Its soft, durable and completely washable, unlike most stuffed animals that hold dust and dirt, saliva, etc. Now, it is one of my favorite baby gifts.

My husband and I found the Kaloo bears in Paris 8 years ago. I was pregnant with my son and we just fell in love with it. Since we couldn't go back to Paris for our 2 daughters, we scoured the internet to find them. Finally, Amazon has them and they are a favorite baby gift. You won't find a sweeter or softer stuffed animal for your child. It comes in a round hat box and the presentation is just perfect. I highly recommend a Kaloo bear for any special child in your life.

I love that this is washable! Most stuffed animals say surface clean only which is not sufficient with what most kids do to their animals. I put all my kids stuffed animals in the washing machine (despite the labels to the contrary) and of course they never look the same or are quite as soft...except for this one! The microfiber makes it machine washable and it comes out looking as good as it did before it goes in! This germaphobe mom is very pleased! I love it so much that I have bought this as gifts for other new moms.

We have enjoyed this Kaloo bear! Even after repeated washing this bear still looks like new! He is soft enough and small enough for your infant!

Super cute bear. It's washable, which I love since my teething daughter drools on it. It's soft and cuddly. The bear is light enough that she was able to hold it at younger than 5 months old (it was a Christmas present for her). While it is "designed" in France, it is still made in China. I wish I would have known that before ordering. I really don't understand why the bear cost $20+ -- I don't think it is worth the price tag. Overall though, I decided to keep it.

I would LOVE to be writing a review of the actual product, but instead I'm forced to sound off against the Cyber Monday "lightning deal" itself, tonight.

I ended up staying up an extra hour and a half tonight just to catch this deal as soon as it went live. I'd already purchased eight (8) items from this year's sale, but had missed out on a few others, so I was determined to not let this one slip through my fingers!

Having missed a couple previous items by maybe just a minute or so because I was looking through other products, I decided to actually wait on this one and watch it count down the last two minutes. As soon as it went "live" and posted a sales price / button, I clicked it, only to immediately see that I was on the "WaitList!?" Granted, I was supposedly #1 on the list, but I had clicked on the button within a fractional-second of it appearing (I had been practicing the cadence as it counted down), so I was definitely surprised to see the "waitlist" message.

As luck would have it, apparently no one dumped the item, so it sold out a few minutes later.

So what's the deal, Amazon? Did you only have a couple of these left? Only one? Did you even have any at all?

I've been a loyal customer for quite a while, and understand that there's not always a huge supply for some of these deals, but I would fully expect that there would be sufficient inventory to cover at least a half-second worth of internet clicks!? (it's not like this was a 60" LED that was being sold for an 80% discount....I fully understand you maybe only having a few of those.....but this was a $32 item that was being sold for $26.....it wasn't going to "break the bank" and I would think that you would at least have a few thousand of them, if not many more!?)

At any rate, I wish I'd just gone to bed earlier, now, because while it was just a $6 dollar "savings," it's left me fairly upset with the whole process / Amazon, and I'd just as soon had the sleep :-(
