4.0 out of 5 stars What a nightmare!
I tried to change my rating because not only did I run into problems with the grinder, but also the pump for the water stopped working, this machine is JUNK! I wouldn't even give this machine 1 star, it breaks down way too easy and is difficult to use. DON"T BUY THIS MACHINE.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed
We waited six weeks for the product and we were very unhappy with it. The grider did a very poor job of grinding the beans. Afer rereading the directions several times to ensure we were operating it properly, without success, we returned the coffee maker.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife who wanted a coffee maker that could grind the coffee and had a timer. First off, the machine is annoying to use... very poor instructions, has a beeper that constantly beeps while you try to fill the water reservoir and add beans to the grinder. Second, after just 6 weeks of use, the grinder broke! Finally, we cannot find a way of contacting the manufacturer. One of the worst investments in an appliance I have ever made! Do not buy!!

worked for exactly one week until the alarm kept going off which meant you couldn't make any coffee at all.

2.0 out of 5 stars Private Label Machine Good taste but can't overcome the evil, condensation, September 6, 2009
This review is from: Kalorik CCG-19322 1000-Watt 10-Cup Coffeemaker with Built-In Grinder, Stainless Steel (Kitchen)
Overall opinion; Great idea, grind just prior to brewing for the best tasting cup. Pass this one by- Capresso makes a nice grind and brew system that separates the functions but also costs almost $300.
POSITIVES;
Aesthetics - nice looking unit
Taste - makes a decent cup
Programable - wake to the smell of really fresh coffee
Cost - reasonable price for a grind and brew system
NEGATIVES
Operation - unusually poor instruction manual make operation a degree required effort.
Overfilling - is a constant problem, , Pour in too much, 1 oz is too much, and it'll be on your counter.
Constant beeping - while the top door is open, you'll hear it. so, filling the water, beans, cleaning the coffee grinding unit.
Condensation - The evil moisture kills your electronics sooner or later and invades the grining area making a thick stuck on coffee ground residue on the grinding unit. Also makes drying out the grinder necessary between pots. Wait, that also means leaving that top door open, beeep beep beeeeep, ok, take out the grinding unit and let it dry on the counter to shut the top. Wait, the sensor knows the grinder isn't there for coffee, beeeeep beeeep beeeeep. UNPLUG THE COFFEE MAKER, wait now I have to set the time every time i plug it back in if i want to program it to wake me up. GEEEE WHIZ.
