I purchased 3 of these from Amazon at the beginning of the school year for my 4H Foods Group which consists of 22 kids. These hot plates have been used twice a week, every week, and at competition.

They work great and have been very reliable. The only complaint I have is that they take a while to get hot, and then after you're done cooking it takes equally as long for it to cool off.....but those are small prices to pay to get a hot plate that works every time you need it too.

These are holding up well to the abuse the kids dish out and they still look and act just like they did out of the box!

I like that the burners are sealed, and it cooks very well. The one thing I didn't like was that the crome surround gets very hot to the touch. Keep this away from small children. Other than that it is a good product.

One of the best products I have ever ordered. We cook on it every day here at work. we make stews, sauces, omelets........great product and looks wonderful.

We are very pleased. This is our cooking surface on our motorhome.
It is attractive and is exposed in the galley area. Controls are responsive and solid burners are level. In use with the convection microwave is all we need. All positive.

I bought this item one month ago. It's really goodlooking. However, it's very hot on surface, especially when you turn on both. It takes about 5-7 minutes to warm up. So, you should take time to turn on before using. It's very easy to clean up. Anyway, it's worth at that price.

I purchased this to add to my outdoor kitchen as I needed some additional cook tops.
We use this outside, store it indoors.
It arrived very well packed. Is easy to use and it looks good.
The burnes are a bit slow getting hot, but that is to be expected with the cast iron. However it does a good job.
If you set it up to 5 it shuts itself off when it reaches the appropiate temp. At max it keeps going. We have used it for deep frying, boiling water etc. Pretty much all regular cooking is being done on it.
It runs about 1400 watts I believe, I am running it on a 20 amp circuit and it is fine.

It looks good, but it takes a long time to get hot, and was not very useful for what we bought it for - an alternate stovetop while our kitchen was being remodeled. In the end, I wish we would have bought one with exposed coils. We ended up using the microwave and a toaster oven instead.

I'm in a temporary living situation for a few months, and this is great. Takes a long time to heat up, but you get good, even heat for cooking and it is attractive on the counter. Does get very hot; not appropriate for formica counters, but good for tile. Like to two size burners, and works best with flat bottom stainless pots. Only drawback is the burners have small grooves in them that are almost impossible to clean...but a huge step up from the coiled electric burners.

I bought the item thinking it can do quick cooking like our electric oven. I was wrong; the unit takes a long time to become hot and once it gets hot, it stays hot for a while even turned off. I do like the even cooking it provides. I don't mind keeping it.

We love how the look of the double cooking plate, however it doesn't get very hot and it takes a while for things to boil.
