I wanted a cheap mixer to help me in my occasional baking, so I purchased this mixer solely based on the price. Well, I definitely got what I paid for, and I wish I had spent just a bit more to get something better. It works fine, but all it really does is beat. The slowest setting is still incredibly fast, so fast that often I use one beater instead of two. The settings range from 1 - 5 and I very rarely use anything above the first setting - it's just too fast. If you want something that has specific speed variations for mixing, whipping, blending, or kneading then this mixer is not for you. Spend a bit more to get a better mixer - you will be happy you did.
