"Kalorik coffee maker looks and works great. 40.5oz. stainless thermos carafe is nice but wouldn't call it 10 cups. The cone type filters(none included)seem to use less coffee. The 24hr digital clock with program timer is easy to set. Hot plate has 2hr auto shut-off. Great coffee maker for the price and it looks like it would be a much more expensive model."

I bought this coffee maker as a gift for our son, Alan. He received it within one week. He is very pleased with the coffee maker --makes coffee one would expect in a much more expensive coffee maker.

I originally purchased this Coffee Maker for my son who had just moved into his own place. He is very happy with it. I liked the coffee maker so much I purchased two more...one for my daughter and the other for myself.
It is easy to clean and easy to set the programable timer and clock. Also, It takes up a small amount of space and looks nice on the counter. The coffee does pour out a little slowly but good things are worth waiting for. I would not say that it was a 10 cup coffee maker...more like an eight cup coffee maker which is fine with me.
Unlike one review I read, I had a question about the coffee maker and called the dealer, who was very polite and helpful.
Overall, it is a very good coffee maker and makes good coffee for the price and I would recommend it to my friends.

So, I needed a new coffee maker and didn't feel like spending a lot because my fiance and I will be registering for one for our wedding next year. I browsed through tons and decided on this one because it's programmable, black and stainless steal.

My thoughts? It's pretty good. Not the most amazing coffee, but still incredible for the price. The machine itself works great. It looks good, works well, and I love that the water measure is on both sides. I agree, this is not a 10 cup machine. However, at most I make coffee for 3 people and it's just fine.

As for the taste in the coffee (which I've read a bit about): You NEED to rinse the machine (it does say it in the manual!). I rinsed mine 3 times and I could still taste plastic. A couple more times and I was good. I suggest doing a vinegar rinse as well. After that, the coffee is great! Be patient. If it isn't tasting right, rinse it a few more times and be sure to use a cleaner, not just water.

As a side note, I suggest ordering a re-usable filter along with the coffee pot. I've looked and can't find the cone ones anywhere! I'm going to have to order one. The disposables are thick and filter my coffee a bit too much. (I like mine bold and dark!)

Searched for a Thermal Carafe coffee maker under $100 for quiet some time. Always seem to break glass carafe's and Brewstations always leak after a while. Saw this coffee maker online at a GREAT price ane jumped on it, and I'm actually really quiet pleased with it!

Makes great coffee, keeps coffee warm for a long time, auto-programable what more do you need.

I did knock off a star for a couple reasons. First off it is NOT a 10 cup coffee maker, yes the description says 10 cup and yes the coffee maker it self says 8 small cups / 12 large cups on the side. However, it does not hold one drop more coffee than my old Black & Decker 8 cup. Secondly the clock only displays military time, not a big deal but I would prefer a 12 hour clock. Would have given 5 stars if it came with a reusable mesh filter though.

A couple notes for anyone thinking about buying this coffee maker. When you first get it, it smells strongly like plastic. I ran a pot of soapy water through it, and several pots of hot water through it until the odor was gone and the coffee has no bad odor or taste (it even says to do this in the manual) be sure to do this yourself before you use it, I believe this is why some reviews complain of a bad taste. Also be aware the manual says NO PART of the coffee maker is dishwasher safe, you are supposed to handwash all pieces.

I loved everything about this little coffee maker, the way it looked, the way it brewed, its size. I loved everything except the way it makes my coffee taste. I feel like I'm drinking insecticide. The plastic cone that holds the filter obviously leaches into the hot water pouring over the grounds. Since I can't get my money back, I'm going to see if I can't remove the plastic part and replace it with a grounds basket. Wish me luck. I CANNOT recommend anyone buy this product if you want your coffee to taste like coffee. The plastic taste and smell are just too overwhelming, not to mention it's probably not good for you.

Started working intermittently and then quit in the first month. Stainless carafe was chinese junk!
Called the seller and told them of the problem and they did NOTHING!!!!!

I bought this coffee maker about a month ago and I was rather happy with it until I started noticing that every time I tried to use the carafe to pour a cup of coffee or to fill the water chamber, I inevitably made a messy puddle of coffee or water on the counter or floor. I've tried and tried all sorts of different pouring techniques and lid placements, but the liquid in the carafe just will not pour out cleanly. And I'm not talking about a little drip here and there, I'm talking about a good third of the coffee ending up on the floor. It's driving me nuts and I'm working on finding a different carafe to fit the coffee machine itself-- it does, after all, make pretty decent coffee on a timer! However, I would not buy this coffee machine again-- I would absolutely spend 2 more dollars on a better-designed appliance that will actually let you drink the coffee it makes!
