The leather and color are beautiful, the fit is good, and my lower back loves the negative heel. The quality of these shoes is excellent, and the company will donate to earth enthusiasts with each registered purchase.

I have owned the Echelon Earth Shoes for over two years now. They are absolutely my favorite pair of shoes ever. I recall to the first week of wearing them... I had to get used to the high arches because every other pair of shoes I had ever owned had pretty much no arch. Once I adjusted to that my feet quit hurting within two days... I noticed an immediate improvement however in my back pain, as I bought these because I was on my feet for over eight hours a day at a retail job.

The leather is soft and supple and there is lots of wiggle room for your toes. I tried to treat it with the beeswax goop the sales guy sold me when I bought them at the store, but they have still lost their shine from scuffing on the toes. However I feel that a little shoe polish will do the trick for that. Other than the normal scuffing that would happen on any pair of leather shoes they have held up amazingly well over the last two years and I can say I wear them at least 4 day a week.

So all in all I highly recommend these to anyone who has back pain and has to be on their feet for hours on end. If you are looking for more of a walking shoe however I would maybe try one of the earth tennis shoe styles. I have not tried them myself but I guarantee you that will be my next earth shoe purchase.

I bought this shoe for work. I am a nurse and am on my feet in procedures for many hours. I use to wear Dansko clogs, but found recently they were aggravating my plantar fasciitis. This shoe if amazingly comfortable, but there was more arch support.

I was surprised how this slightly angled negative heel made such a difference. My foot pain is virtually gone, callouses are diminishing and this tough leather seems indestructible.

I love these shoes so much that I am on my second pair of this particular style and actually just ordered a different style as well (so third pair of Earth shoes). I have planter's fasciitis and am on my feet all day long. These shoes have been a Godsend... I no longer hobble at the end of the day and don't dread walking as I did before. Extremely well made! Thank you, Earth shoes!!

I heard about the benefits of Earth shoes and wanted to try them out. I always hated how shoes with heels made my feet feel, so I decided to go the complete opposite and try the shoe with the negative heel. The Echelons are very comfortable and the velcro strap allows adjustment depending on sock thickness. I took this new shoes with me on my vacation to Beijing, and they past the test of walking around all day. These shoes don't need a breaking in period. You can just slip them on and go. great shoe and really cute too. I love the red color.
