WOW!!I have been a firm believer in the methods and practices of the Kama Sutra for 15 years! WOW!!I have been a firm believer in the methods and practices of the Kama Sutra for 15 years! I had the privilege and PLEASURE of learning the techniques first hand from a master, while living in Indian. I have been trying to explain the wonderful experience for years to others. All the books I've read don't really explain techiques very well, until now. I was VERY impressed with the easy wording and wonderfully detailed photographs. Ms. Hooper really took the time to explain how and why the positions are done and the benefit you and your partner(s) can get from them. I've bought several books for my friends and family. They have much happier and healthier sex lives since learning about the art of the Kama Sutra, many are buying the book for thier friends an family. A great thing should be shared by all! Bravo, Bravo Ms. Hopper! Wonderful job.

5.0 out of 5 stars "A Great Lesson in the Art of Lovemaking", November 30, 1998
This is a great book for anyone interested in getting the most out of sex. Lessons in massage and moodsetting combined with A LOT of sexual positions make this one of the best books of its kind. Use as a guide to spice up your sex life or to just have fun with your partner. Lots of color pictures show by example and simplify the complexity of the average Kama Sutra books. Why read 500+ pages of a complex and vague interpretation when you can browse Hooper's 200 page guide that includes topics not even touched in Kama Sutra books. A must have for any couple. I love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars as graphic as guides will go, July 8, 2000
this book is really graphic with lovers in the nude doing the sex act in various positions not only from the kama sutra but also from the perfumed garden and other much-touted classic sex manuals from long ago. let me say that i have read alain danielou's translation of the kama sutra and also a paperback version of the perfumed garden (from bantam doubleday? written by sir richard burton if i remember right...he also has a kama sutra translation i think). those two books were excellent in their own right, not really as sex manuals per se, they are purely text, no illlustrations to help you make sense of positions, but with lots of insights given to their culture and how sex was cultivated in those days. anne hooper gives you the nitty-gritty of positions not only from kama sutra but from the perfumed garden, ananda ranga, etc as well. if what you really want to do is learn how to get down and try new sexual positions, this book shows you how. the pictures are tasteful and didn't particularly offend my sensibilities. if you have an appetite for sexual experimentation, then by all means go ahead and try this book. i don't know if experienced people will really benefit though, being somewhat of a novice myself, but i think this book makes fun reading anyway! at the very least you'd know what to call the various positions you've tried before....

5.0 out of 5 stars Handicapped people like sex too!, January 29, 2000
My wife has been disabled with cerebral palsy since birth. Since she has little control of her legs and so forth, sexual positions are somewhat difficult for her to achieve- especially those that require an acrobatics training course. This book showed both my wife and I some interesting variations on positions that we hadn't even thought of yet. Plus, it's easier to read than the original Kama Sutra. The illustrations showed us exactly what we needed to do to try out more positions. Needless to say, it has spiced up our sex lives GREATLY! I recommend it to everyone, handicapped or not!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you're in a relationship, this book is a must have., November 18, 1999
By A Customer
It's really very simple. We all owe it to our lover to be the best lover we can. Anything we can do to move us further along the road of being the best lovers we can be is definitely something worthwhile. We owe it to ourselves, our lover, and our life to make every moment the fullest it can be. This book can certainly help, especially for novice lovers or those caught in a routine. I recommend this book without hesitation, though I likely wouldn't leave it on the coffee table for the kids.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kama Sutra for the Average Human Being, November 26, 1999

Anne Hooper did something wonderful for mankind, she dug through all the rigamaroll, got to what we wanted to read, and took photos! I never believe what I can't see with my own 2 eyes and when I've read other books with drawings of the different Kama Sutra positions, the thought "Yeah right" would go through my head. Thank you Anne Hooper for showing the world that it's not impossible. I bought this book for my friends and one for my love and I.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something for everyone, February 6, 2003
By

I feel that Ann Hooper's book was very tastefully put together. I was looking for a book of positions that didn't have illustrated cartoon images, but yet wasn't untastful pornography. The models in Ann Hooper's book were nude, but I felt it was done in a sensitive, tasteful manner. The captions next to the pictures explain each position and give hints on how to make them work. I feel the book also has something for everyone. I was a little shy about the book at first because I had never looked at something like it before, so we started out with simpler positions. But as I got braver and more riskey, we tried some more difficult positions. Some which went well, others which we are still working on. The book has lots of ideas. I also liked how there were not only many sections of positions, but also sections on oral sex, touching, and other foreplay issues. It has a lot of content and will provide new adventures for years to come. My boyfriend and I are very pleased.

5.0 out of 5 stars It was worth every penny!, November 7, 2001
I didn't have great expectations when I picked up this book. I just thought it would be fun to try new sexual techniques and positions. This book was an investment! I enjoyed the glossy illustrations and easy guide to a spicier sex life. I have taken ideas out of this book to be more adventurous in bed and please my boyfriend in more original ways. He thinks I have a vibrant imagination. Well, this book is partially responsible. Thanks Ann Hooper!

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor work, May 28, 1999

Dear fellow reader

I have bought and read this book and I must say that I was very disappointed in its written captions and in its organisation (or lack of it), While the book is full of colourful pictures of people pressing their bodies against each other, it is a fact that the accompanying captions lack any real information other than some general mish-mash which tends to be repetitive at times. As for the organisation of the book, the reader's attention is kindly drawn to the fact that the sexual positions are presented in a disorganised manner and one has to keep turning the pages back and forth to try and make sense of what exactly is the difference between someof the sexual positions ..., the content of the book could have been presented in a more organised manner in which it would be easier to see the difference between sexual positions of "overall similar" mode of entery and relative body positions...., I conclude by saying that Given the material the writer had access to (the kama sutra and scented garden along with an oriental manual) I would have written a far better book that would have a far better presentation. you can buy the book to read (or look at the pictures I guess..!) but don't expect too much if you are a critical reader.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quickies and More, October 26, 2000
By A Customer
This book was very easy to read and understand, and had great detailed photographs. The author takes time to explain the positions, how they work, and how they can help. My sexual relationship with my girlfriend is really great after reading this book. We found another helpful "sex instruction manual" - FIVE MINUTES TO ORGASM EVERY TIME YOU MAKE LOVE, that takes a completely different approach. Sometimes we just want to enjoy a "quickie" and we don't have time or energy for a long, drawn-out lovemaking session. This book shows that quickies aren't just for men. Both books are great for couples.
