I hoped this video would be enlightening but compared to other videos on this subject, this one provided no lesson on the techniques. All you see is dancing(unrelated) and prints from the book, and occasional real actors. Do not buy as this video is a waste of your money.

There is so much filler in this DVD that the educational content is about 5 minutes. They were trying to take artistic licence, understandable, but they lost sight on what the DVD is for. Learning and expanding what you know.

(A) I own most of Ken Stubbs books, (B) Buy the VHS version of this video to save disappointment. I have both, and amazingly, the VHS has better video quality. The DVD does have two complete versions of the sensual dances partially shown in the VHS, but the main feature only has 3 tracks, marking 15, 30, and 45 minutes -- even when these time marks cut the demonstration of a position in two. At minimum, each group of positions should have had its own track. I love the concept, the poetry, the artwork, the scenery in this video -- but Ken, get a multimedia consultant next time.

This video is terrible! The positions aren't explained well at all, and there are about ten in all. Most of the time, you are watching some African chick with hairy armpits or a middle aged Indian lady dancing around. The rest of the time, you are staring at Japanese wood-cut prints, which totally turned off my wife! If you've ever been to the zoo, or seen a horny dog in action, than you have seen more than what's presented in this DVD. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Sensual ethnic dance (with good rhythms), historical erotic art, poetry drawn from the old erotic traditions, and scenes from nature, interspersed with demonstrations of positions from the historic texts. Everyone involved seems to be having a very good time. Why lions? Why giraffes? Why not?

If you expected an instructional film, this could be disappointing. If you're tired of tacky, staged, pseudoscientific "intimacy" films then this one is a joy. We use it as background to massage and lovemaking, and we try a position or two from it as the mood strikes us. A previous review mentions that the VHS version is better edited and has better picture quality, so I will order it also.
