Not quite up to the standard of PLANKTON ( who is ), but not far behind. This is very much in the best tradition of CREAM / HENDRIX and other guitar 3 piece groups from the past. Saying that, these guys don't copy, they create. Although rooted in the classic bands from the past, their sound is more 2005 than 1970.
Getting better with every listen and should appeal to all fans of the aforementioned artists.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kamchatka are the real deal!, April 1, 2008

It seems like one of the newest trends in rock and roll is to hark back to the days where Clapton and Hendrix were ruling the world with their guitars. With all of these new bands making classic, bluesy and psychedelic rock and roll, Kamchatka succeeds where others have failed. Where other bands almost parody themselves by fitting into a fad niche, Kamchatka comes off sounding incredibly genuine and original. The sound is polished, but you could almost swear that Clapton himself was belting out one of the many ripping guitar solos on this album. The guitars are loud, the drums are being beaten to death and the vocals are perfect. This is classic rock, my friends, and it is good... real good.
