This is a very sturdy product well made spins very smoothly. It is does everything listed, but i did have to replace some of the spices with spices i use more often like adobo and adobo with pepper.

that said the product works as described. One that must be said... THESE ARE GLASS JARS. again this does come with GLASS JARS NOT PLASTIC. i say that because that is the main thing i was looking for, something with GLASS JARS that held spices in place and did the job. if you are looking for something with the glass jars like i was this is the one.

other sets from this same company do come with plastic jars, however as of 08-09-06 this product comes with very strong nice GLASS jars.

I've had this rack now for three years. I love having all my spices organized, and definitely motivates me to experiment when I'm cooking. As other reviewers have said, it's helpful to create your own labels and replace the ones you won't use as often with the spices you love. I kept the other ones though, and I've actually used a few I'd never expect. Yes, "pizza seasoning" isn't a frequent recipe requirement, but it can be fun to just sprinkle it on cheesebread or corn on the cob. It's very similar to "italian seasoning", so I actually combined them into one!

Anyway, the reason I wanted to add a review is that I had a really pleasant experience with the company recently. One of my roommates misplaced one of my spice jars (rosemary, which I use quite often), and I went on the internet looking to buy a replacement jar. After quite a bit of frustration thinking that I might actually have to replace the whole set in order to have identical jars, I found the company website and left a voicemail. I got a call back the next morning, and after I explained the situation, she sent me a replacement jar FOR FREE including rosemary in it, as well as an order form so I could order additional spices or jars as needed. I was so excited to get in the mail a couple days later! For an inexpensive (but sturdy and nice-looking) product, I was really impressed with the service.

I just received my spice rack today and I have to agree with the majority of the other reviews. This rack is very nice. It is extremely sturdy and revolves very smoothly. My other main concern was that I wanted a rack with glass jars so I was very relieved to see that is what I got. So far, I am very happy with it although one of the lids on the jars is cracked.

But the spices that I received with mine are all a little strange. Very few I will probably use. I did not receive any duplicates as others have said, but they all seem to be greeny-leafy things. It included rosemary, parsley, savory, thyme, dill weed, italian seasoning, celery salt, oregano, caroway seed, basil, bay leaves, crushed mint, marjoram, pizza seasoning, and whole mustard and coriander seeds.

I too will refill these with my own spices but will have to make new labels for them. I understand that everyone has different tastes and it would be impossible to please everyone, but I think everyday spices would have been nicer.

Heheh... The jars and rack are nice. The spices are umm..odd. There are a lot of odd ones such as Pizza spice etc. I realize they can only ship what is available determined by the season at the time you order but Pizza spice? No familiar standbys like Bay leaves or Allspice. Whole mustard seeds? Does anyone actually use stuff like that (at least in a home kitchen)? Well, you can buy it for the rack and jars and fill them with your own spices I guess.

The Kamenstein Revolving Spice Rack with 16 Filled Jars is a good size for my small counter. After reading the reviews, I was prepared with my label maker and a few hours. When the rack arrived, I cleaned out my poor messy spice cabinet. Scary how things just pile up, and you can't find anything. It was so bad I dreaded cooking.

When the rack arrived, I sorted out the herbs and spices I actually use on a daily basis, and those are now on my counter in the rack. The ones I use less often are in the cabinet, and are now labeled and dated. They did send a few that I never use, but that just gave me a few jars for my own items in the rack, like garlic powder, sage and ginger. My labels neatly covered the original stickers on the lids.

The jars are glass and a good size. The top is real metal with a brushed aluminum finish. The sides where the jars fit in are made of wood and painted black. The turntable is smooth. The footprint is quite small, so would be useful just about anywhere. It is very well made.

Now that I know what I have, and can find it easily, I look forward to cooking!

I recently bought two spice racks locally and had to return them both. This one's a keeper. It's very nice looking and is just the right size for the countertop. The fact that the jars are glass was also important. Some of the spices included are ones that I will probably never use, so I wish it came with extra labels. I'm still looking, but haven't found a place to buy round, black labels that would match. I emailed the manufacturer but got no response.

I just received this today and I have to say I'm fairly disappointed!! The rack is nice, the glass jars are nice....receiving 8 of the same spices, not so nice! I was expecting 16 different spices not 8 that are the same!! I got two each of the pizza seasoning, coriander, marjoram and crushed mint. The rest were not duplicated. Otherwise, its a good buy. Eventually I will fill the jars with different spices and make my own labels for them.

This Item looks nice and seems sturdy, but I am disappointed with the selection of spices I was sent. Many of them I have never heard of and will probably never use, while many common spices (ie. seasoned salt, cinnamon, garlic salt, nutmeg, etc.) are missing. The packaging slip states you are sent whatever is available at the time of shipping. At least if there were avariety of colors of spices it would look nicer just sitting on the counter, but they are all very dull colors - not like the picture. I could replace what is in the jars, but jars have labels on them. Also labels on tops of jars do not appear as they do in the picture. Much more plain. Unable to find a company website to order replacement jars/spices. Will probably keep this item only because I don't want to pay shipping to return it.

Well built rack. Jars are well sealed with screw-type lid and an air-tight paper seal that must be broken before first use. Bought a second rack as a Christmas gift. Good selection of spices:
Sea Salt, Crushed Bay Leaves, Coriander, Fennel Seed, Marjoram, Celery Salt, Crushed Mint, Parsley, Basil, Pizza Seasoning, Rosemary, Oregano, Italian Seasoning, Chives, Season Salt, (and a surprise) Herbes De Provence. . .

Like everyone's said, you do get a few weird spices, but the revolving rack and jars are great! It fits perfectly in my dorm's cupboard.
