5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to wear, does the job well
I bought these to use for walking through muck and mud, but they also work on rainy days and even in snowy days (worn them in up to 3-4" of snow). Easy to clean, really easy to slip on and off, and they fit wonderfully due to the neoprene sleeve inside the shoe.

The price is right too--about 30% cheaper than other, comparable, more "trendy" shoes on the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Waterproof, not much traction. Decent shoe
This shoe is good. There are comfortable and they are very water proof (as long as the total shoe is not submerged in the water). They look fine, yes they are not fashionable but they are more about function. I thought the shoe was a bit higher, it is too low to be trekking through deep puddles and river (I used them in Ecuador). They held up very well. The biggest...

They look a bit silly--I call them my "Duck shoes"--but hell, they work beautifully. Recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars Waterproof, not much traction. Decent shoe, June 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The biggest negative about the shoe is that while a trail or the road the traction is fine, anything like wet and rocky feels like you are walking on ice, and since this is made for "wet" situations, I feel like it would make sense to put better traction for those type of conditions. For what I paid for I am happy with the shoe. it says it can also be used in the snow in negative conditions so when it comes it may be useful. All in all a decent shoe. I use it to mow the lawn right now, very good and does not get dirty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just arrived this morning!, October 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I received these this morning just in time to take the dogs out for their morning walk in the wet grassy fields. They were exactly as I had hoped they would be; easy on & off, very comfortable and most of all 100% waterproof! They actually felt like my well broken in house slippers. I was so tired of putting on and lacing up my waterproof hiking boots just to go out with the dogs and then having to come in and struggle to take them back off. The fact that I live in Oregon and the rainy season is just about to hit makes me even more excited about having them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great rain and snow shoe!, December 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kamik Men's Lucas Lo Rain Boot (Apparel)
These are very comfortable and are great at keeping your feet dry in rain and snow. The only thing I would warn about is walking on metal grates can be a little slippery when the soles are wet.

5.0 out of 5 stars buying a second pair, October 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Bought these last spring and wear them every day. Easy to slip on and off, and very comfortable and reasonably lightweight. I mow the lawn, walk the dog, and work in a large garden, often in the rain. With a front door, back door, and basement door, though, I need to get another pair so they are always handy!

4.0 out of 5 stars shoes for Northwestern winters, October 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are essentially cut-down Wellington boots with integral neoprene liners, and an excellent choice for protracted exposure to cold, wet weather but not deep puddles. The lining insulates well but perhaps too much so for keeping on your feet all day in a warm building; they don't breathe well but wicking socks should mitigate this. I found that they fit true to size, with ample toe room but very little arch or lateral support. Overall, they are decently comfortable to one who prefers flat soles. Construction quality appears to be solid enough that they won't start delaminating any time soon.

My envisioned role for the Kamiks was winter bike commuting and casual wear. To my displeasure, the soles, specifically the untextured middle section, do not adhere well to the smooth fixie-style metal bike pedals I use on my commuter rig, and I chose to remedy this by reinstalling toe clips. Take note if you plan on riding a bike with these; you might prefer rain shoes with a more conventional tread.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I work in a wet environment daily and need protection for my feet. Kamik make the boot I wear during winter so again I turned to them for shoes this spring and summer. The Lucas lo rain was the answer to my problem. They provided comfort while keeping my feet dry.
