We have a LOT of snow here in northern Minnesota. It's the end of November right now and we have over a foot of snow outside right now. By February there will be several more feet of snow on top of it. I needed something so that when my kids go outside to play at recesses at school, their feet would remain warm and dry.
These Kamik boots are not only affordable, but great quality as well. There are no seams for any water/snow to leak through. They come up high enough on the leg that they keep the snow out and the thick lining keeps feet warm on cold days
There is a drawstring at the top of the boot, so it can be cinched to keep out any snow, but I have found the boot fits well enough around my kids legs that I have not needed to use it. My kids are able to put on and remove these boot easily by themselves. The lining can be removed for washing, but does a nice job of staying inside the boot without any sliding around when they are being worn.
I will definitely be buying another set of Kamik winter boots for my kids when they grow out of these!
