I also own Ecolecua and Money Pa'que. In those albums the band had utilized a combination of rock with latin influences. They used trombones, accordions, congas, and whatever else fit, and I loved it. Not this one, they cut out the musicians to just just guitar, bass, and drums. The sound is pure modern rock'n'roll. So if you enjoyed their previous rock latin fusion, you may be dissapointed like I was.

This is a much better release than the previos Eccolecua which, for me was a bit too techno. Kamakaze finds the lads from Panama doing what they do best. The music is a hot mix of punk, metal, reggae, ska and tropical sounds which is infectios and perfectly played. The Spanish lyrics are funny and deal mainly with sex and naughty behaviour which Los Rabanes cover on their other discs. These guys are talented and fun and this album is more like those before Eccolecua. If you like their stuff you will like Kamakaze. If you like Latin rock, give this a try as well as Los Rabanes' other releases. Lots of talent and lots of naughty fun.
