This review is from: Kandisa Earthy....fluent... Free Music By Indian Ocean (Audio CD)
This is a great album to listen to while working at the computer or driving the car or doing housework. It keeps me moving, with great drums and instrumentals, with enough vocals to keep it varied, but never taking over. We bought this CD in India, actually my kids bought it, after seeing a live concert of this great band. Lots of fusion, not sure what all the instruments are, with strong East Indian musical influences. There arent' really lyrics, just notes and syllables.... it is indeed free flowing and smooth, jazz and nouveau flamenco like, but not polished to the point of being predictable.

Simply The Best Fusion Music I've Heard...,

This review is from: Kandisa Earthy....fluent... Free Music By Indian Ocean (Audio CD)
Indian Ocean is a group whose music can bring spring in the bleakest of winters, and can make you feel the gentle tappings of raindrops even in a desert. This album, which perhaps has been their greatest hit album, includes the superhit "Kandisa", an anthem of sorts in colleges across the country! Sad that the exposure that such a talented group should get is limited even in today's consumerist and experimenting times. The songs in this album just haunt you, long after the CD runs out, and in case you have it in auto-repeat mode, I challenge you to let it run only once and stop! The music simply catches you, and takes you on a journey, where you realize that you actually love this music, not just like it. It is timeless, free of ageing, and has that earthy touch to it that makes it look ground-hugging, and at the same time, wafting through the clouds... Enough of eloquant waxing from me (:p), go ahead and get this album. You'll not regret this investment, because unlike most of the other music that you'll ever hear, this one will never go out of your good books!!! I first heard this album when I was in my First year of Engg. - more than a decade ago - and I still have this on my iPod!
