5.0 out of 5 stars HELL, FIRE, AND BRIMSTONE!
This DVD isn't like Eddie Guerrero's or Bret Hart's where you'll get a documentry into his life...and it's not an anthology like Undertaker's or Hulk Hogan where you get their most famous matches. This is just a small set of Kane matches throughout his career...at amazingly low price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kane in the Ring
For fans simply looking for a collection of matches - and no extras - the five-match set featuring Kane may be the way to go.

Taken from 1998-2005, there are three bouts from Unforgiven - 1998 w/ Undertaker, 2003 w/ Shane McMahon, 2004 w/ Shawn Michaels - and one each from SummerSlam (2004 w/ Matt Hardy) and Vengeance (2005 w/ Edge). The latter pair are with...

This DVD isn't like Eddie Guerrero's or Bret Hart's where you'll get a documentry into his life...and it's not an anthology like Undertaker's or Hulk Hogan where you get their most famous matches. This is just a small set of Kane matches throughout his career...at amazingly low price.

Unforgiven '98 vs. Undertaker (Infernio Match) - This was the first one & really something to see as the ring surrounded by fire & the flames would push up whenever someone got closer to it. Again, really something to watch.

Unforgiven '03 vs. Shane McMahon (Last Man Standing Match) - For not being a trained wrestler, Shane McMahon knows how to sell a beating better than most. This was right off the heels of the "Kane Unmasked" storyline where he tombstoned Linda McMahon weeks earlier. Shane was the little man who just wouldn't give up against the big monster who just kept beating on him & beating on him. The spot at the end is really something to see as we all know what type of daredevil Shane McMahon is.

SummerSlam '04 vs. Matt Hardy (Till Death Do Us Part Match) - This was from the Kane/Lita/Hardy storyline in which Lita was having Kane's baby (long story that I'm sure nobody wants to remember) & the winner of this match would get to marry Lita. Similar to the Shane match in which Hardy bumped like crazy & tried everything to stop Kane but he was just overpowered in the end.

Unforgiven '04 vs. Shawn Michaels (No Disqualification Match) - HBK was out for revenge against the man who put him out of action for 3 months. HBK once again puts on a great show while Kane again is showcased as a monster. Lita's outside to help Shawn out from time to time but was really a good match.

Vengeance '05 vs. Edge - This was almost like art imitiating life as in real life, Lita left Matt Hardy to get with Edge but in WWE...Kane played the role of Hardy. This was a much better match than their previous ones as Kane & Edge just meshed well together & Kane actually got the suprize victory in the end.

Again, just 5 matches featuring Kane that are really worth the low price of this DVD feature alone. I recommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kane in the Ring, December 23, 2008
This review is from: WWE Kane Journey To Hell Store Exclusive DVD (DVD)
For fans simply looking for a collection of matches - and no extras - the five-match set featuring Kane may be the way to go.

Taken from 1998-2005, there are three bouts from Unforgiven - 1998 w/ Undertaker, 2003 w/ Shane McMahon, 2004 w/ Shawn Michaels - and one each from SummerSlam (2004 w/ Matt Hardy) and Vengeance (2005 w/ Edge). The latter pair are with a then major storyline surrounding Lita. The highlight is the Inferno Match versus the Undertaker, which can be appreciated without knowing the back story of the "half-brothers."

Like a quality house show, the emphasis is on the work-rate inside the ring, minus the nonsense of the soap opera drama.
