Kanga - World Map with Time Zones Printed On Cloth

I just received this, a "just for fun" purchase. The quality - as a large piece of cloth - is OK, and as a big cloth wall map it will have a use. But "beach blanket" it isn't, more of a "beach sheet". OK, you could pack it and wrap it around you to keep off the sun or keep out the wind, even maybe sit on it (providing the ground is not abrasive). Just as well it really was "just for fun" because at $25 it is over-priced.

I received my Kanga as a gift and then found them here on Amazon. I must say this is the first item I pack for my trips now. I think it weighs a few ounces and takes up no room at all in my bag. When I un-wrap it I use it to lay on the beach, wrap up, dry off, cover up and tell the time at my friends home in Asia. Truly a wonderful treasure. I take it everywhere.

The graphics on this are great but its not a towel! Its made of rayon and so thin you can about see through it. Its nice enough that I'll keep it, but don't think this is anything but a wall hanging.

The dateline map is made out of cotton and is very colorful. It's a useful tool in showing people how the worlds timezones are reflected accross the globe in one shot. I didn't use it as a beach blanket but rather hung it on a wall so people can check it out on their own.
