Kangaroo Kangaroo Where Are You? Is the story of little Koala trying to find his friend... Kangaroo! Koala asks simple questions and Kangaroo offers easy clues. lighthearted intrigue keeps young children - and adults alike - engaged and entertained to the very end.

Written in the style of beloved children's stories, Kangaroo Kangaroo Where Are You? has all the ingredients of a classic picture book.

Designed with special attention to beginning reader format Kangaroo Kangaroo Where Are You? incorporates important pre-reading concepts of rhyme, rhythm and repetition.

'Kangaroo, Kangaroo, What Can You Do?'

'I can hop. I can hop.

That is how I run.
When I hop, when I hop,

I have lots of fun.'

'Kangaroo, Kangaroo, Are You At The Zoo?'

'Not The Zoo, Not The Zoo,
I'll give you a clue!
I can pull my BIG, BIG Kite.

Let it go up to the sky.
Watch its tail that's long and white
Wiggle and dance, fly, fly, fly.'

The gentle melody of poetry and cheerful illustrations combine to make this a delightful picture book for young readers. With humorous images of an emu playing basketball or a wombat hiking a hill, this lovely children's book even strikes a fun cord with adults.

Editorial Reviews

Review

In this lightweight, rhythmic story, two of the most beloved animal characters play a sort of hide and seek with Koala on the search for his friend Kangaroo. The story reminds kids of the fun of outdoor activities, and is an invitation to get up and play. Robyn Safarian's blend of metrical rhyme and repetition is easy to follow, which young children will likely find memorable long after each reading. Ages 0-4

From the Author

It's fun to be a kid and nothing makes it more fun than being able to run around and play outdoors. Join Kangaroo as he tells his friend about all the awesome stuff they can do together:

'My 4 year old daughter loves this book and she remembers almost all the words.'

Colorful illustrations and the mild, rhythmic flow make 'Kangaroo Kangaroo Where Are You?' a wonderful choice to read out loud, and a sweet bedtime story.
