Kangaroos is narrated by a joey, and the back cover illustrates how it jumps into its mother's pouch in three easy steps. In Tree Frogs, the vividly colored subjects pose whimsically against dark backgrounds in photos that are more striking than those in the first entry. In both books, the bold white text is imposed on the photos, and occasional words are highlighted in large yellow or lavender type that almost jumps off the pages.
