This review is from: Kannazuki No Miko, Vol. 3 - Destiny Eclisped (DVD)
Just to be frank this series was by far the worst thing I've ever bought. I had the feeling that yuri would be in here and all but this series focused so much on it, it made the rest of the anime parts really not matter at all. Plot wasn't too good, fights were mediocre even for the final battle. Thank goodness I did not buy this full price. I think I'll just sell this anime to someone who cared more for the yuri then anything else, since that's all this anime seemed to really focus on.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not So Great, January 11, 2007

This review is from: Kannazuki No Miko, Vol. 3 - Destiny Eclisped (DVD)
---Being a big anime fan I have seen various series, movies and OAVs. Regarding this series, the genre didn't bother or make me dislike it. What made me strongly dislike this series was the characters and the story line. Himeko was incredibly wishy washy always whining and crying and not making any decisions until the end. Himeko cried alot and would say Chikane's and Souma's names over and over, reminiscent of Miaka and Tamahome in Fushigi Yuugi. She was also always apologizing to people, saying everything was her fault.
---Chikane, did horrible things to Himeko and in the end all was forgotten because it was for Himeko's own good. I am sorry, but there is never an excuse to do what she did to Himeko, even if it means saving the world.
---I found the story line went from ok to ridiculous so quickly. The shrine maiden story was fine, saving the world ok but all of a sudden there were giant robots and various evil characters, who you never really understood because they were not developed. On top of all that you had the crazy love triangle, all the emotional damage Himeko and Souma went through as children and whatever happened to Himeko's friend Mako, who disappears and shows up at the end? I just thought it was average and nothing that great. There are much better anime out there where you don't roll your eyes through the last two episodes and pray for it to just finish.
