This review is from: Kantek Mobile Stand for CPU (CS200B) (Personal Computers)
Very pleased with the quick delivery, all the parts were included, a snap to assemble, and it works for me!Due to limited real estate space on my desk,I have my CPU tower on the floor which is carpeted. Although I blow the dust bunnies out every few months, I am glad I finally decided to purchase this particular CPU Stand which raises the tower several inches off the floor. Other reviewers mentioned that it is just a cross-bar stand (which it is) and had trouble moving the tower and stand intact over carpeting. I have moved my tower on the stand (rolled it out from underneath my desk) several times just to test the stability and had no problems with the tower slipping off or the Kantek Stand expanding. It may be wise to measure your CPU tower and compare your measurements to the manufacturer's stated measurements, and consider whether your tower is going to be put through frequent, heavy-duty moving before purchasing. And yes,as other reviewers have noted, you do not have complete access to removing the tower's side panel to clean out the dust bunnies or servicing the components due to the "arms" on the four corners (see product picture) supporting the tower. You do have to remove the tower from the stand when you want to remove the tower's side panel to clean or service the components. For me, this is a very minor problem as the Kantek CPU Cabinet Tower Stand has so many other benefits-wheel locks, good and substantial product that raises the tower off the floor several inches, holds towers weighing up to sixty pounds, and the black stand looks great!

This is a fairly sturdy stand if you like plastic and only have to use it with a short in length computer and not on a rug. My computer is longer than a normal and the computer area is carpet. The stand sits in the middle of the computer body, between legs. It is difficult to roll without tipping over. Forget about easily removing the computer side panel, it is are blocked by the leg raisers. Ok for business office use, poor for a home user.

Of all the CPU stands available on Amazon I got this one, thinking the all black color would go well with my computer's case.Pros: It assembles very easily. It's adjustable. All four casters lock. It's sturdy. Cons: There's no way to "lock" the device so it doesn't adjust while your computer is on it. My computer slides on it very easily, and if I want to move my computer I've got to grab the stand, not just my computer. Thoughts: It would be nice if this thing had a rubberized surface on the parts that come in contact with the computer to help hold the CPU in place and prevent scratching. It would also be nice if there was some way to lock it so once your computer is in it, it won't open up.

Fighting cat hair,

These (I bought two) are the best CPU stands I have used so far. Easy to use and they get the CPU a good ways off the floor, cutting down cat fur in the filters. Quality is excellent, they roll well and they have locks to keep them from rolling. Well worth the money.

The biggest problem with this piece is that when it rolls on its wheels, it loses its grip on the computer CPU. Which is really the purpose of a CPU Stand. The CPU stand doesn't stay in position, when you move the CPU stand the stand width changes and the computer CPU becomes unstable. There should be a lock with the stand after you put the CPU on it."

Mildew-ridden from the manufacturer!,

This review is from: Kantek Mobile Stand for CPU (CS200B) (Personal Computers)
These came smelling of mildew. Not only the box, but the actual plastic stand as well. I had to spray them with Virex to get rid of the strong mildew smell.I had ordered a set of these from another vendor and they too, smelled of mildew, so it's not the vendor's fault. It's the manufacturer, Kantek and the shipping process from where they are made, in Taiwan. I have used these before and liked them, so after spraying them with Virex, they were fine. Just wanted to make all aware of this problem.

Simply perfect!!!,
This review is from: Kantek Mobile Stand for CPU (CS200B) (Personal Computers)
I don't know why people are complaining at all about this stand. It absolutely did the job for me. I hate dragging my computer on my wood floors back and forth. It scratches the floors. This is a much easier way. The wheels have locking features, which is nice. It looks very nice and not cheap. Also it supports my computer on all sides. I would highly recommend it.
