Good book to help students prepare for the AP test, especially 9th graders who are not used to studying. The book should help the students in understanding what is required to get a decent AP score.

This book is perfect for my daughter. She is in high school and taking the course. It was recommended for her final. It wasn't available locally and the price was great!.

AP Human Geography is quite an interesting class, but, just like the rest of the AP Courses, it's lengthy and requires a lot of memorization. I personally never took this class, but still wanted to self-study and take the exam to see if I could receive college credit for the subject (and yes, you can take any AP Exam without taking the class; look it up).

I procrastinated all throughout the year, and always told myself "I'll start studying later", but I actually didn't start until 2 weeks before the exam. The ONLY thing I used to study was this book - no notes, no other review, no assignments.

I started the book and studied almost every day for two weeks, which meant staying up late (but that's what I get for waiting until the last minute!). I read everything and used highlighters to color important information and also made marginal notes on important content. I read the whole book except the section on Cities, because I ran out of time. So basically I missed two or three chapters, and the rest I read.

I got a 4 in my AP Human Geography Exam. You can easily get a 5 by just using this book (and actually reading it...) and not waiting till the last minute to study!

I bought this for myself last year, and it helped out alot. I'm not sure if I thought it helped or not, but this nifty book summarizes everything one needs to know for the AP test.

So I highly suggest any student or consumer to buy next year's edition, or any AP Kaplan book.
