Got a higher score than 99% of the other people at MEPS!,
By
This review is from: Kaplan ASVAB 2009 Edition (Paperback)
I bought this book about a month ago and started studying about two weeks before the test. I concentrated on the math first then the science part and then the others. I had gotten a 52 on the practice test 2 months ago, got a 77 on the real test! Most of the other people who I talked to and took the test at MEPS with me got lower scores, A lot lower! LOL! I could have gotten a higher score if I had studied and practiced the book more but I was too lazy. Worth every penny I paid, so I HIGHLY recommended it to everyone who wants to join the military, I joined the Air Force. BTW make sure your familiar with MEPS, the people who do the medical examination on you, all I have to say is that those people are horrible!!!

Buy this book and Ace the ASVAB!!,

I am joining the Army, and applying to Officer Candidate School. That being said, having a high AFQT score, as well as having high line scores are extremely important.
I bought this book and the Barrons How to Prepare for the ASVAB: Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery preparation book. I read each one fully through, and took all of the preparation tests. The day I went to MEPS was absolutely horrible, too long of a story to get into here, but when I walked out from MEPS five hours later, I scored a 90 AFQT, and all my line scores were above 118. I am more than sure that I would not have been as successful without the help of these books. I am sure I could have done better if my day wasn't as crazy, but against all odds, I was still in the top 10%. As you all will be too! I highly recommend buying this book and studying. You won't regret it!

Great Study Guide,

I bought this study guide primarily for the math on the ASVAB. It was a great refresher for me. This book covered pretty much everything on the test, and then some. I wish it was a little more user friendly for someone who hasn't taken a math course in a while. I had to ask a few friends for some explanations. Make sure that you take at least 2-3 weeks of study time before the test. Be dedicated to it because if you dont get a high enough score you wont qualify for the good jobs in the military. If anyone has any worries over the ASVAB DONT!!! The way the test is set up is stress free!! Good luck

Probably not necessary, but a good confidence builder.,

This book is okay. I bought it mainly to brush up on the automotive section of the ASVAB. The book is easy to read well written and the explanation of the questions can really go a long way towards helping anyone understand the right answer. To be honest if you need anything more than a touch up on the subjects presented on the ASVAB, I don't know if this can help.
