As a high school freshman.,

I took this test in June of my freshman year, and with the help of this book and a lot of dedication, I got a 770 on my SAT 2 Biology test. The review book does an excellent job of laying all the necessary facts out and divides the information into appropriate sections. However, it does assume that you have already mastered a basic high school biology course, and it is only there for REVIEW and recalling facts.I would recommend the book to all the students who will actually put in the time and effort to study. Shelling out ten or twenty dollars for this review book won't accomplish anything.

I bought this book 4 months prior to my A.P. Biology exam and studied constantly; about 4 hours a day. I memorized every term and every possible biological theory, axiom, postulate, whatever. After taking the A.P. exam in May, my brain felt too exhausted to think of studying again for the SAT II biology. All I did was take the mini-test available in the REAL SAT IIs published by the College Board. I was ecstatic when I recieved my grades: a 5 in AP Biology, and a 770 in the SAT II. Use this book in conjunction with Princeton Review's CRACKING THE AP BIOLOGY as well as CLIFFS AP BIOLOGY, and you will succeed. Good luck studying, and remember to start early.

I'll be completely honest. I took AP Biology, but the first time I took the SAT2 for Bio, I earned 540. After this book, i earned a solid 800. Need I say more?

this book helped me so much. i took the diagnostic test in the beginning of kaplan about two weeks before sat2, and i was pretty depressed cause i got somewhere in the 500's. the book covered a lot of material i gotta admit, but it prepared you for any little question that could pop up on the real thing. i read the entire book, took all the quizzes and tests, read the section on getting ready for the sat2, and you should read the little icons on the sides of some pages cause they help you a lot. i got my score, and i got a 790 in the 98th percentile! i recommend using this book, and if you want, its a good idea to use the princeton also cause thats what i used along with kaplan.

I used this book to prep//review for the SAT II Biology test. If you are planning to take M, you should definitely use this book. I'm personally very loyal to this publisher, but if you want the grade, get the book. Btw...I just took my AP Bio test and upon looking through this book, i realized that it would've helped me better than all the other prep books out there.

Here's my review. You can take it in part or in whole. You don't know me so you don't know how good my advice is. This book was a bore to get through, even though I love biology. It explains things, but not well enough. It assumes you've had some training in biology before you picked this book up. Some things it will give just the definition, but it doesn't go into explaining how it works that well. I think the barrons is better, but if you get this book you won't be left in the dark too much.
