Improved my score by 120 points.,

The reason I recommend this CD is the practice tests and the vocabulary builder. When I took the GRE the first time I had reviewed my math and practiced my vocab, but I was not used to doing the problems in a strict time limited environment. This CD has practice tests that mock the real GRE, so you can get used to working under a time limit, and answering the questions on a computer. The vocabulary builder was a real help too. It is a game where you try to match the words with their definitions in a limited amount of time. The only problem I have with this software is it comes off alittle cheesy and childish when you do some of the lessons. Other than that, its worth using.

Worked Well for Me!,

Although I purchased several study aids, including Kaplan GRE Exam in a Box (which I also recommend), this little software package became my primary study tool.
My test prep was focused on the GRE. When I first installed the software and started poking around, the graphics seemed a little too "cutesy". But then I took the initial diagnostic exam, and was given approximate baseline scores which seemed quite reasonable (given that my high school math is about 30 years in the past, and I had done exactly no preparation). Once the diagnostic is complete, the program builds a study program for you, which you can work through it at your own pace. That helped a great deal. The lessons brought back lots of old knowledge, and provided some shortcuts as well. The program also includes computer-based flashcards and games that will help improve your ability to quickly respond to questions. Bottom line: If you can get past the sometimes-hokey presentation, this is one of the best study aids available. My score didn't increase by 100. It increased by almost 300. A great tool!

If you don't feel like spending a fortune on an online subscription that will expire in a few months, this is the best way to use your computer to prepare for the GMAT. Unfortunately it's been discontinued, but the questions, practice drills and instruction are still very appropriate to the test I took earlier this year(2009). If I worked for Kaplan, I'd tell them to get this back on the market ASAP.

I bought this and a more recent GMAT review book. I barely used the book, only this program. Because it was way easier and more fun! And I thought it was great, I got a great score on the GMAT and got into all the programs I applied for! I will be starting my MBA next year!!!
