This book is a great starting point in your self-study. It will not be the only book you need due to it's lack of all exclusivity. It's a bit of a rewiew book but it doesn't include all the knowledge you will ever need to ace the MCAT (but what book does?). The book excels at providing an excellent overview of how you should study as well as what you should study. From the content list the book provides I can easily go online and research a specific topic. With my busy life I don't have time to read 100 textbooks. Since the MCAT is testing your ability to apply knowledge and not regurgitate it this method works for me. I don't regret buying this book.

this edition help me from 27 to 35 on MCAT in 2009,
This review is from: Kaplan MCAT 45, 2008 Edition (Paperback)
A lot people think the latest edition Kaplan material is the best, but they forget the process of revolution of official MCAT. This edition of Kaplan keeps the most efficient brainstorming format for me. All sections are short but all to the point of real MCAT. I was using kaplan online but did not score well on my first time, but when hearing advice from current Kaplan MCAT private tutor, I cannot believe i can improve this much and got into all california UC med schools and some IVY med schools. This tutor told me that most Kaplan tutors still use OLD-Paper format materials to teach students and have successful results. The CBT MCAT materials can easily blind your vision on the most high yield passages, unless you compare and look back at the old paper format MCAT materials to re-emphasize and re-evaluate your own weakness. I am the REAL example here.

This book was for my daughter school and she was impressed how fast it got her and the condition of the book. We look you up if you should have any other books that she needs for med school. Thank you again
