4.0 out of 5 stars Quick review of major physical findings, December 6, 2007

This review is from: Kaplan Medical USMLE Physical Findings Flashcards: The 200 Questions You're Most: For Steps 2 & 3 (Cards)
Quick and high-yield review of relevant clinical findings for USMLE Step 2CK. Very well illustrated (color pictures) and additional online multimedia clips where necessary. Most of them contain a picture on one side and the diagnostic and most likely cause for that finding on the other. Others have a test name on one side and how it's done and indications on the other. I gave it only 4 stars because some online multimedia clips are "upcoming."

4.0 out of 5 stars I loved these flash cards!, May 26, 2010

This review is from: Kaplan Medical USMLE Physical Findings Flashcards: The 200 Questions You're Most: For Steps 2 & 3 (Cards)
Physical Exam findings are really going to help you nail the question. All the stems on the boards will give you PE findings. Knowing these cards will help you establish a great differential before you even see the answer choices. I strongly recommend adding these cards to your arsenal of materials.

Again these cards alone are not sufficient to pass the boards, use a primary source.

Suggested additional materials:
USMLE World **(mostly out of scope, questions too specific, not directly helpful on exam..but questions are always good to do)
Kaplan Notes ** (overly detailed, if you can read it all, it's well worth your time..but again, it is long and hard to get through)
Kaplan Ethics!**(excellent, if you don't do them...you are giving up at least 7-10 questions)
NBME pratice exams **(not really a good indicator of success..questions were way too easy)

Best of Luck!

5.0 out of 5 stars SUPERB!!! Excellent review material., January 14, 2008
This review is from: Kaplan Medical USMLE Physical Findings Flashcards: The 200 Questions You're Most: For Steps 2 & 3 (Cards)
Never mind the retard who gave this product a single star. He was probably the one rushing.

These cards are wonderfully illustrated and covers all the major topics that you will very likely see (and have seen) on the test: CV, derm, endo, ENT, GI, GU, Heme, Immuno, ID, multisystem, neuro, OB/GYN, ophtho, peds, psych, resp, rhematology. Each section is color-coded and it's quite fun to go through with a friend. It's ultra portable so you can take to to the restaurant, in the car, at the park, and just go thru it with a study buddy. It's worth the money and Conrad Fischer IS the bomb! Combine this with USMLE World, Kaplan notes, USMLE Secrets, Secrets Q&A book and First Aid for Step 2 and you'll be rockin n rollin to the stars. Do your best!! It's a harrowing affair for all of us.......
