one of the must have books
this book the the best general introduction and preparation book you absolutely need for preparation the CS. I can say it because I just passed the CS test in July and i think this is the best introduction book.

I wouldn't use this book for Step 2 CS exam preparation. Kaplan has Step 2 CS (Complicated cases) which is much better. Additionally, MUST do USMLEWorld.
