Great Text,

Dr. Fischer has done it again. In his clear and easy to read format, he covers most of the ethic topics asked on the usmle. Useful for all three steps, it includes lots of questions at the end, with detailed explanations. It's not cheap but it's about all you'll need on the subject.

Hi everyone
I started preparing for step 3 around a month back and was doing with USMLE WORLD.I was not scoring well and was lacking in ETHICS.Then one of my online study partner suggested me to go with ETHICS BY DR.CONRAD FISCHER.The book is awsome and it has everything which USMLE step 3 gonna ask you on your step 3.No question will be asked outside the content of this book by you have to go though it around 3 times in total and solve MCQs at the back. After doing that my scores on ethics questions improved a lot. Dr. Fischer has discussed each and every topic on ethics in a very simple and communicative manner that you would enjoy reading the stuff. And guys its well said that when you enjoy doing something ,the tedious of work is not difficult rather becomes a child's play for anyone. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and order this book right away !!! If you have any questions just give me an email on anujbhatnagar06 at the rate of yahoo dot co dot in

This book is very easy to read, with good explanations for the ethics concepts that are applied in the US medical field.
I find this book very helpful to undestand and apply the medical ethics concepts in the questions presented in the USMLE format. Explanations are case related which give an easy way to follow and review the material.

I think that this book is one of the best for the ethics and will be very much useful for all usmle exams ..... since now a days they are asking more ethics questions. One of the books you must have if you want to master and crush ethics in the real exam.....

I bought this book for my Ethics preparation for Step 2CK. I have to say that it was worth the money. The first part ,review, is a great, compact version of the topics that appear on the exam. It is very well written, easy to remeber. The 100 cases that follow are very relevat to the exam both in format and topics. I didn t use anything else and I did very well. I would highly recomend it for Step 2 and also Step 3.

This book is really helpfull. It makes you think more accurately when you are going to answer these ethic questions on the boards.
As his author mentioned , is designed to be precise not ambigous , it does not matter if in real life a particular episode can be dual and controversial; in the test you need to be sharp in your answer and get the point! It helped me significantly in my last Step 3 but I am sure is usefull for the step 2 and even for the specialty boards. I recommend this book 100%.

I have just received this book yesterday & I absolutely love it!! I read almost half of it in about 3 hours this morning while my daughters were asleep & I'm planning to finish it tonight. The language used is very simple & the book is interesting to read. I would highly recommend it to anyone planning on taking the steps since it is useful for all exams. Best of luck to all!

This is a very good review book in medical ethics especially for foreign graduates who have different standards of care in clinical practice in their countries. To my opinion Dr. Fisher provides most important aspects of medical ethics in the US. I haven't passed my Boards yet, but I am sure to be challenged by many ethics questions reviewed in Dr. Fisher's book. I highly recommend all books he published for preparation for USMLE exams especially for foreign medical graduates like me.

I found this book very helpful and to the point. I always had a lot of grey areas when it came to medical ethics and decision making throughout my training but this book really cleared out everything.I would definitely recommend this book to not only the students who are giving their board, but also to those who are going through their medical school program any where in the world. |
