Critical Flaws In Test Questions..., August 10, 2007
This review is from: Kaplan PSAT NMSQT 2008 (Paperback)
Overall, this is a mediocre test preparation book. One thing that further brings down its rating is the fact that approximately 75% of the critical reading questions (in both the practice problems and practice/diagnostic tests) that reference specific line numbers are misaligned. The line numbers referenced in the questions DO NOT properly correspond to the actual line numbers in the passages. For example, if a question asking "In the context of the passage, what does the word "weight" (line 35) mean?" The word "weight" would actually be found on line 37 (for example). They are sometimes 1-5 lines off. Under timed conditions, this makes the practice tests very frustrating. Some simply proof-reading of this book would have been great. For this reason, I would not recommend this book.

Stellar, September 18, 2007

Kaplan's 2008 PSAT prep book is amazing, besides a few line errors everything about this book is good. My son recently received a 240 (perfect score) after reading this book. There's an excellent grammar section plus a diagnostic test in the beginning.Highly recommended.
