The Kaplan ACT PSAT and SAT Platinum Edition 2008 is a great product. I encourage my children to practice 3-4 hrs a week. The second time my daughter took the SAT her math score increased 50 pts. Her ACT score composite score increase from 24 to 27. It is a great product because it teaches you how to answer the questions and you become familiarize with the test format.

Poor presentation. Only thing that looked decent was the box it came in. Software required an outdated version of Quicktime and came with 5 discs where it could of easily fit on 1. Could only do the diagnosis test and everything else would freeze. Truly disappointed. I'm going to stick to books.

Great way to help a high school student get ready for the challenge of taking the SAT test and doing well.

I can't decide whether I would recommend this or not. There were some software glitches as other people have mentioned. Overall, I really don't know if this will help improve one's score if they do not understand the concepts behind the question. Also, if your student is not fully motivated to study and put in the necessary time, even a good software program will not help. They probably will need hands-on studying in the form of a class or tutoring.

It would have been nice if they told you that it is not compatible with the current Mac OS. A minor detail that means the product is good for... nothing! I'll just end up eating the cost because it's a hassle to return it.

The tests do not provide the scores at the end. When I try to get my score, it says that it can't help me. Something is wrong.
