Not helpful,
This review is from: Kaplan SAT Subject Test: Mathematics Level 2 2009-2010 Edition (Kaplan SAT Subject Tests: Mathematics 2) (Paperback)
I started using this book a few weeks ago and had extreme difficulty answering the problems without looking at their explanations, which weren't the best. The problems are not even problems that would be on the actual Math level IIC test. the only good thing about this book is that after each section they list out formulas you need to know. but the thing is, they don't even teach you the formulas before being tested on a problem that requires certain formulas, and it's just a heap of confusion when I take their "followup" tests or "diagnostic" tests for each section. I do not recommend you to buy this book. The problems are completely unrelatedif you're short on time don't buy this.

This Book is Horrendous,

The SAT II Kaplan review book is nothing shy of awful. For one the material is missing extraordinarily important topics, like exponential decay/growth for example. The problems are frustratingly unclear, not relevant to the actual exam, and the explanations are completely not satisfactory. I should have saved my money and just used the sparknotes online for free. This is hands down the worst test prep book ive ever come across

Horrible, horrible book.,
This review is from: Kaplan SAT Subject Test Mathematics Level 2 2011-2012 (Paperback)
A week before my SAT IIs, I thought i had everything in order. I was breezing through AP Calc BC with a 100%, and just finished self studying for my Physics SAT subject test. And then, I took a practice test in this book.Invariably, it was the worst decision of my life. Instantly my mind turned to mush-- either because of the unnecessarily wordy questions, or the blatant inaccuracy of the test. The truth is, this book (or at least the practice tests in it) is just plain inaccurate. The first practice test turned out horrendously, the second no better. In fear of my chances at my prospective schools, I ran out to buy the official college board released test book. First test-- 800. In short, I wouldn't trust this book farther than the ashes would fly should I chuck it in a fire. I hope you don't either-- go get the Princeton Review version or the official CollegeBoard version-- you won't regret it. |
