2.0 out of 5 stars review from a student February 10, 2011
Format:Paperback
Although this book looks like it's very well made and authoritative, beware. I'm not sure about the other sections, but I've been working on math concepts and on literally almost every other sample problem the book gives, I either find a mistake in the question or I am unnecessarily confused as to what they're asking. I'm a decent math student and have taken the ACT multiple times, scoring in the 30s; this book does not do a good job of imitating the math section. The first thing that I saw was that the midpoint formula they gave was just flat out wrong. I thought it was a one-time fluke until I came upon other problems doing things like misnaming circles and saying that the answer was a circle's circumference when the question clearly asked for its area. Maybe not the most grave of mistakes, but if you cannot trust a book to give you the right information, it can really mess up your studying regimen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best One Yet! October 21, 2010
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Very well done! I have three kids and the oldest has taken the ACT several times and has purchased many ACT books. This book presents 25 lessons that help you learn the most frequent tested topics on the ACT. Each lesson is well organized and written from a tutor/student perspective. I believe that this book will help my other two to get a higher score on their ACT by teaching them the test material. This book is easy to understand and well written.
