Comment: This book has already been well loved by someone else and that love shows. It MIGHT have highlighting, underlining, be missing a dust jacket, or SLIGHT water damage, but over-all itâ?TMs still a good book at a great price! (if it is supposed to contain a CD or access code, that may be missing)

Overall, the book was good in the sense that it covers broad topics, but how is that going to help? It definitely needs many more example and more emphasis (and practice) on spending your time efficiently. I am an AP student and when I took the ACT in October I had to cancel my scores.. yes I understood everything, but so what if I don't have enough time to complete it?

A pet peeve of mine... it didn't go over the trig, and basically implied that it is fine to miss those, which I find ridiculous.

It can be a good book to sum up broad concepts, but I did not learn much from it. I bought the big ACT book with the CD, hopefully this one actually covers what I need to know.

I strongly enjoyed this product a lot. Very well written and easy to understand. Great book if you don't want to only have practice tests....

Okay...not so much. When I was a junior in high school, I was placed in Geometry with all the freshmen. I attended various ACT prep courses my junior year for a stupid 20. So I took algebra two in the summer and advanced to PreCalculus my senior year (yeah, kind of wish I had taken more math classes on my previous summers). I also was in AP English and bought this book. During senior year, I signed up to take the test again after having covered enough of the material in Precalculus and English, I studied from this book (I liked the illustrations, and I consider the voice of the writer to be good for the teenage audience). I took the test, received my score and got a 23. Was I happy? no, it still wasn't good enough...but I give this book credit for those three points. I'm sure I would've gotten a 26 if I had taken it again. If you find that your score doesn't work too well for you, take the compass. I was able to place in college calculus after taking it.
